hi!I am a married 44 year young woman. I was 13 yrs. old when I started my first real collecting.I went on a plane to go spend the summer with my grandma and 2 aunts.my aunts are 2 and 3 years older than me. On the plane i was given a airplane wings pin.that summer everywhere we visited I got a pin for a mommento.
I started collecting pins/buttons about anything,anyone.bands,idols pictures,and names,sayings,then I was at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles California,my dad and I started the craze over trading Olympic pins,that was amazing! There were so many types.big and little company's advertisement logos with the olympics rings and date.was a lot of fun!then I took off and collected any button or pins no matter what was on then.Then it was Unicorns,pegasus's,Scorpions, Crystal items (vases,dishes etc.), rocks and crystals,we are beachcombers, tin cans about anything,food ads,promos.Lions,eagles/Indians,pepsi-cola things,movies,angels,butterfly's,windchimes,Pooh and eyore and now its vintage colored aluminum kitchenware!and with all of them my husbad thinks Im crazy because which ever one Im on I get lost in them and maybe obsessed, but its so much fun! my house is full,the walls and shelfs,are very full!well guys I think Im done.TTFH!
