urlofduke buys stuff more often than he sells


Hi.

I'm just another guy buying and occasionally selling stuff here. You can't have too many things in this life or you get bogged down in owning and maintaining them. So I'm passing along what I've taken good care of.

I sift the sands here to find stuff that's actually what it appears to be. There are real deals to be found, if you can find them. Persistence is key. Don't march in expecting to find your dream deal in a day and a half, cuz it won't happen. Troll the listings for a month or two. Then you're much closer to finding the diamond-deal in the rough...

Most of the items I sell, if not all, are personally purchased and stored. I usually attempt to get half or more what I payed for something back from selling it. I doubt you'd do much different. I think I've had my fill of reserve-price auctions. I doubt I'll be doing any more of them. They're too expensive to end with a whimper like they can...

I am not an ebay power seller and probably never will be. I usually just buy stuff here. Sometimes games, sometimes books, but usually music.

If you're into Prince/The Artist He Was When He Wasn't Prince then you might want to check back...I'm in the process of liquidating my private collection and have a few rare pieces and even some common ones to sell in the near future. Uptowns, A Controversy or two, vinyl, tapes if u want 'em, and other miscellany.

If there are any parts of my policies, shipping/handling charges, or other practices you do not agree with, please DO NOT BID. Someone else may have your item with terms you might accept.

Domestic shipping is easy. I print out a shipping label at home, drop it at the pist office or in a mailbox and it's done.

I make every effort to ship items in the AM of the next business day. Sometimes things come up that could prevent that and I'll email about any delay longer than one business day. Uninsured shipments cannot be my fault, so insure. Whenever possible I pay for it on items sent to myself.

I usually don't ship internationally because of all the additional effort involved. When an item lists charges for international shipping/handling, it may include reimbursement for packing material, effort and time spent transporting the item to the post office and standing in line there, filling out customs forms, and dealing with the attitudes of the personnel who work there. If I myself am too busy to deal with this, I have to pay someone to do it for me.

Please consider the details when it comes to international shipping. I am willing to do it, but it's much more complex than just click-print-drop, as with domestic...

To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
