Greetings and Welcome to my About Me Page!
Although most of you know me through my books (to date I've written eighteen titles for Llewellyn World Wide) my second passion is making individual items that I hope will bring happines and a sense of "special" to my customers. My venture into Ebay and on-line sales of products began about four years ago. I started because of the way a very good friend made me feel whenever I asked this person for a magickal item. Whether it was an oil or a candle, a talisman or a prayer, this individual always expended incredible effort into my desire. I knew the end-magick was my own, but having someone put so much care into something for me that I could use for magick was the greatest gift of all. I decided that although my words touch many people all over the world with my books, I wanted to extend that "just for me" special feeling, too, in the same way my friend made me feel very important.
In the magickal world it is believed that whenever someone fashions an item by hand for you, the artist's good thoughts permeate the piece. I believe this, too, and so I set about learning how to pour candles, make magickal oils, and a compendium of other fun endeavors, which I auctioned through Ebay. To date, I have sold almost 5,000 projects! There were times when I had help from family and friends, but the bulk of those mailings were items of my own design.
The Ebay road hasn't always been easy, and not because of Ebay. About a year ago I became so exhausted trying to write and make items at the same time that I almost gave my store up. Then, a friend of mine sat at the bedside of a dying man. The man turned to my friend, his face full of inner light. With his last breath he said, "It's not what you say -- it is what you do in life that is most important of all." I took this message to heart.
