My mother's name is also Esther J. Williams, I was the seventh child born in my family of ten. Being the only one who turned out left handed, I had an irresistible urge to make art starting at three years of age. I drew on the walls and my mother kindly told me no, no. Since we didn’t have money for drawing paper, my father asked the local butcher for plain meat wrapping paper so I could continue my obsession with drawing and coloring. That was almost 50 long years ago and thousands of drawings were created since, but few survived until my college days.
After signing my works only as Esther Williams for years, I have recently learned by a college professor that there was another Esther Williams artist who later was referred to as Esther Baldwin-Williams. b1897-d1964. She was an impressionist artist who was American but lived in Paris for awhile and studied with the old French masters. I love impressionism art and paint in plein air also. So, to make a distinction to my name as an artist in the present day, I now sign my work as Esther J. Williams.

at The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. The hotel is at 21500 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA. "The Gallery HB" is in the shopping corridor to the right just before the front entrance to the lobby. Call The Gallery for directions (714) 845-4835. They carry my the more expensive works of my art.

The San Clemente Art Gallery is located downtown San Clemente, CA at 100 N. Calle Seville and Avenida Del Mar. I belong to the San Clemente Art association and enter the Paint San Clemente competition and exhibition each year.
