About Me
I have been a member of eBay since October 5, 2006. Shortly after that,
I joined the group community. I enjoy meeting new people and eBay
has been a wonderful place to do that. I have found the people
here are so very helpful as well as friendly and caring. What
more could you ask for in a community environment?
How did I come up with this name Vixen View Treasures? Well, when
I first signed-up I wasn't sure what to have for an ID (LOL). We
live in a development called Vixen View (there were a lot of foxes in
the area). I originally thought since the items are coming from
our home, it was a nice way to make a connection between home and
cleaning up the home to make money; at least temporarily. Well, as
things would have it, while I was learning more and more about eBay and
therefore using the ID, I came to be identified with the nickname
(Vixen) that is a part of the ID, so it just stuck, and now I believe I
will be keeping it.
I am originally from Southern California transplanted to Southeastern
Pennsylvania in 1985. I find myself split on my decision to leave my
home state so many years ago. I always say you can take the girl
out of California, but you can't take the California out of the
girl. When I first moved I was all about the adventure of a new
environment. However, as time passes you come to realize that
what you left behind is a part of you. I miss much about my home
state, but I've lived in Pennsylvania so long, I'm sure I would miss
things here too. Talk about divided interests. I especially
miss the summers in California and the people. Here in
Pennsylvania, they have beautiful autumns with all the colours I never
saw in my home state. The spring brings a plethora of beautiful
flowers awakening after their deep winter's sleep. The people
here are very slow to warm-up to you though, and that was a very
different change for me coming from a state where all are
welcome. While the years have passed and my accent has lessened,
the speed of my speech still sometimes gives me away, but I have
adapted to where I live, and my husband is from here. Together we
have one teenage daughter, who has all the needs of a teen - to stay
put in school where she knows all her friends.
I am currently a substitute teacher for grades K-4 (I work about 4 or 5
days a week; it depends on the time of year). Previously I was an
ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructor. I have been in the
field of education since 1993.
I keep busy with my daughter's band activities and other
extracurricular activities, as well as all the usual daily parenting
needs.
In my spare time I love to read, scrapbook and hand stamp cards.
My recent passion has been creating graphics on PSP and AS. I also
enjoy many other crafts when I have time.
Well there you go, more information than you wanted to know (LOL).
Terms Of Sale
(Payment, Shipping,
and Refunds)
I accept money orders, cashiers checks, and personal checks (USA
only). I also accept PayPal on MOST auctions (there are
some where the price is so low that it is not feasible for me to do so
unless you combine multiple purchases). You should contact me via
the "Ask Seller a Question"
link if you have any questions or need to
change the payment options.
Shipping is normally within
24-72 hours after payment is received
(exception: personal checks must clear before item is shipped, note
this option is available for US only). I do combine shipping;
please make sure you wait until you have made all of your purchases
before paying, to choose this option, that way I can make the
adjustment in cost. You will receive an email from me or PayPal
stating that your order has shipped. Depending on the time of
year, shipping method, and your location, your item can take anywhere
from 2 days to over a week for you to receive it. Please use the
tracking information to help you determine when your item should be
received, and contact me if there seems to be a problem. While I
will ship internationally, I ask that you please contact me before
bidding, so we can establish how you wish to have your item(s) shipped,
and any possible additional cost involved in shipping.
Please choose the optional insurance
if you have concerns about loss or
damage in shipping. I carefully pack all items; however, please
understand, I have no control over what happens after the item leaves
my hands and goes into the hands of the carrier (this is what the
insurance is created to solve).
Returns/Refunds/Exchanges
are given only on an item not as described,
less s/h costs. The Buyer will pay for return shipping and
handling. The item must be in the same condition as when I sent
it (with all original materials included). Please contact via "Ask
Seller a Question"
link. Should there be a problem,
please
let me
know right away so we can resolve the problem promptly. Thank you.
Note: Videos are
checked and sent with no tape damage, and should there
be damage on return, we cannot issue a refund. We are not responsible
for loss/damage in shipping if insurance is not purchased.
Items that are sold "as
is" include: Antique or collectable items and
they are therefore NON-Refundable. If you have any questions at
all about a collectable or antique item, please contact me before you
bid as all sales are final. These items are not replaceable, they are
vintage items and I have no duplicates. Thank you for your
understanding.
Feedback is how I
determine that you have received your item and are
satisfied with your purchase. I truly hope you enjoy your
item. If you have any problems, questions, or concerns, please
contact me via the "Ask Seller a
Question" link so
that we can address
your concerns before feedback is exchanged. Thank you.
Other
Important Information: Due to a health
condition and allergies, we have no pets, no
smoking,
and no strong perfumes.
Therefore, all products leave here
smoke/pet-free. However, if you too have such concerns, know that
items may pick-up smells from my or your carrier, but they should be
minimal.
If you bid on an
auction and I do not hear from you within three (3)
days I will send a reminder notice that you have won the auction and to
please pay. At the end of eBay's seven (7) day waiting period, if
I still have not heard from you, and you fail to pay, I will file a NPB
report, and leave feedback accordingly. Please remember it's in your
best interest to follow through with your decision (you have entered a
binding contract). I understand EVERYONE has situations beyond
their control. If something has come up to make it a delay for
you, CONTACT me and let me know your situation so we can work something
out. I cannot help you or know what is going on, if you make no
effort to contact me. These listings cost whether I sell or
not. A NPB report hurts your reputation as a buyer and it does not mean
I get my fees back, so we both lose.
Please feel free to contact
me with any questions you
may have, I get
back to my customers within 24 hours.
Ways to
Promote Your eBay
eBay, what a great place to spend your time! You can make some money,
pick-up some great items that you need or want, and you can make some
awesome friends too!
Our
month always seems to have a few extra days at the end of our
paycheck, so I love to sell on eBay and have recently discovered
another way to make some money too. The great thing about it is
that I can use this other site to link back to my eBay auctions and me
page right here to help promote my eBay sales too. You can use
places like Yuwie, MySpace, FaceBook or others to promote your eBay
site. They are social networking sites. Yuwie has potential
for earning you a few extra bucks, MySpace does not. You can put
your eBay ToGo on the site and draw customers that way.
Time to Bless Another We have
come to the conclusion that
while we once loved our treasures, they
which were purchased at a time when we
just had to have them the
time has now come to bless others.
Our
love affair has come to a close, it is
not as passionate as it once was, we have
now forgotten why we pursued them so on
they will go -- to bless another to fill
your life with the passion we once had
Enjoy
your new friend Love
him to the end And
when the time has come to part Send
him on to a new start Let him
bless another as he has blessed you and me
Seasons of Life
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to
judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to
go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
The first son went in the winter, the second in the
spring, the third
in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.
When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to
describe what they had seen.
The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The
second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.
The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that
smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful
thing he had ever seen.
The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and
drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.
The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because
they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.
He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one
season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and
love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all
the seasons are up.
If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your
spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.
Moral:
Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the
difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.
To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
