It's a dream come true......
I’ve always loved movies; documentaries, independent films, major motion pictures. I’d sit in the theater as a kid and critique the films, wondering how I would do this shot or how they did that scene. I remember when I got my first camera, it was a Polaroid. It was bulky and had that film cartridge that almost never went in right. I’d carry it around everywhere I went and later I would show everyone where I’ve been. Then I got my first Video camera, it was a VHS. So big and heavy, but I loved that camera. I've always been someone who preferred the outdoors, driving for long periods of time looking for something different. I’ve always loved light houses. I would look in books and magazines and see pictures of places I wanted to go and see. One day I asked myself;” I wonder how many other people would like to see my pictures?” I started researching cameras and editing software, going to every Adobe seminar I could find, just to find the right one to do the job. I bought a new DV Camcorder and a Canon digital camera and went to Yosemite. It was beautiful. I started making videos on DVD format of all my trips for family and friends, playing my harmonica in the background as if to recreate the days of silent movies. Then I moved to the Pacific Northwest. “Heaven”; I said to myself. All the people closest to me would continuously encourage me to think about making my movies professionally, but I kept thinking I wasn’t good enough. I kept filming and studying until I decided to take a so called “leap of faith” and got my business license in the state of Washington. I’ve seen so many wondrous things since then, and I’d like to show them to you. |
