Playing here on EBAY since Monday, May 31, 1999 . No, I'm not that old!
Hello There! I'm Brian, WD9HSY. Thank You for taking the time to look over here and checking me out! See more at my AOL Home page too:
I have had the pleasure of buying and selling lots of neat stuff here on EBAY over the past few years. I buy and sell mostly Electronics type things mostly 2-way radio and antenna stuff due to my interests in Amateur (Ham) Radio, my call sign is WD9HSY and I've been a HAM for over 30+ years. By the way the BBEDOE@AOL.COM is my email address, so please email me if you ever have a question!
I have been a Retailer for 32+ Years
That is right, you are dealing with a crazy person that has worked in the retail game all his life. I work in the Home Improvement Industry and deal with the public every single day. After 32+ years in retail working with the public, I understand what "Customer Service" really means. It is not lip service! Check out the Feedback below, that should tell the story. I have left over 2000+ pieces of feedback over the years and more than 1950 eBay'ers have left feedback for me! More than 15% of my fellow eBay'ers have bought from me more than once! That's confidence! I'm so pleased to have so much positive, good, happy feedback. One eBay'er was so happy with his purchase he left feedback offering to let me date his sister! I hope my wife doesn't see that one!
An eBay'er emailed me asking if I was a Motorola dealer with all the Motorola and Antenna Specialists stuff I sell here. No I'm not. But I am a Motorola and Antenna Specialist user, Most of my Ham Radio equipment for VHF/UHF is Motorola & A/S, and I have traded in Motorola and A/S for years.... Maybe my next retail job should be with Moto! But for now, I sell Flooring, Carpeting, Ceramics, Laminates, Window Treatments, and Home Improvements during the day! and here on Ebay at Night. My wife thinks maybe a little too late at night!
Life as a Ham, WD9HSY
You may notice that I am using my Ham Radio Callsign as my member ID, WD9HSY. In the Amateur Radio Community that is more Identifiable then my first and last name. I have been a licesened HAM Radio Operator since my College Days in the 70's. I am an Extra Class (Highest License Grade), and I am the Past President of my Local Ham Radio Club and Trustee of 3 VHF/UHF Repeaters. I am a trained Emergency Weather Spotter, but not stupid enough to chase tornados! (I a little crazy, but not that crazy!) If your a HAM you will understand these initials, in Ham talk this a brag Tape: WAS, W200WAS, DXCC, WAC SSB, WAC Satellite, and a bunch of other awards I can remember just now. Rigs here, are Kenwood on HF, Icom on VHF/UHF, Motorola Micor Repeaters, A 44 year old Mosley TA-33 HF Tri-bander, 70' Rohn 25 Tower, Decibel Products and Antenna Specialist Commercial VHF/UHF Antennas. Most of the time I have a clean Shack, but I have been an avid competitor over the years in the messiest Shack Contest. And lastly, if you are a Ham in the Chicagoland area, the story is false, I did not electocute my Cat! He is alive and well around here somewhere! 73, Brian, WD9HSY
A Quick Note About Feedback
I hate to say this but after a 2000+ auctions I guess I can get on my soap box, so Please Bear with me. If a transaction on eBay goes well, Please leave Positive Feedback! Simple Right? Ebay's response rate on feedback is only 66%-75%! I've been involed in more than 2000+ auctions, but only 1900+ have left feedback! (Is this like going to the Bathroom and not using the TP Paper?)
As for Negitive feedback, I feel it should be used only as a last resort when all hope fails. Yes, for Non-Payment, Shipments that take more than 3 weeks, (Weather Allowances made Please!) In ALL cases good communications is a must! Before I leave a piece of negative feed I've emailed, emailed, and emailed. I've asked for help, or an explaination of what happened, or a refund. I've was emailed once by a spouse whose eBay husband had hospitalized due to a car crash and she asked me what she needed to do to finish the transaction! Boy,thats GREAT!
I've too, have had Negative Feedback, (2). An eBay'er received a item Broken in shipment. I had about a dozen extra of these and could of easily replaced it. Did he Email me telling me it was broken? Nope! Did he email me to ask for a new one? Nope! Or a Refund? Nope! But he left NEGATIVE FEEDBACK! My Response was a simple one, "Help is only an email away! Just ask!"
Communication is a wonderful thing! You will also notice that I had a mutual removed feedback! Why? If you look a the feed back you will notice that it is positive for the buyer and the seller! What gives? The buyer left a posistive comment but hit the negative button!!! OOOOOPPPPPS! Oh well, stuff happens! OK, I'm off the Soap Box! Thanks Again!
To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
