I see that this year got so busy that I forgot to update this page.I am sorry to have left this go so long.
The store has been producing some sales on items that the price did not allow more than one or two auctions styled sales to be attempted.
I had some fairly large items sell this year. Two of these items were large orders from people needing some restaurant equipment and tableware.
We sold 40 stackable restaurant chairs to a person building a new restaurant in Texas. This became my second experience with shipping using less than full load trucking service.
The other was when we sold 100 plus dinner plates and ship them at one time, they also went via truck. It is a real experience dealing with the long-distance trucking companies.
We have now added a product to our store line the name of it is Gloves In A Bottle. This product is a skin protection and healing product, it operates on a different principal value are typical hand creams.
The product helps seal the natural oils and moisture into your skin while not allowing outside irritants the ability to dry out your skin. This product provides a barrier to those irritating
elements and it does a good job again keeping dirt from entering the surface of your skin. This provides for easy cleanup after working.
there are many uses for this product used the name of the product in the search or check out my store for this product. I try to keep a few in the store and on auction at all times.
I thought that I would pass along some information concerning the voice-recognition software that I have now been using for a fairly longtime. I believe it was my last
entry where I mentioned I had started using this software package. It has gone quite a bit forming and really does make and writing a lot quicker. I have been able to add some HTML code into the software.
I used commands to enter some simple HTML codes like the ones used for a paragraph, a break or a few others like that. As I find ones I used regularly I add those along with a commands to execute the insertion
and then I do not have to worry about even typing those. This is usable in the editor that comes with the software or usable in most any other editing package. It has been designed to work with the Microsoft office products
very closely and I am slowly beginning to use it with Word, Excel and the package that I like to use it with most of all is Macromedia Homesite. This product is my HTML editor of choice
for all of my eBay and web site work. I am writing this addition to my about me page with the software I'm extremely pleased with its ability to spell correctly unsightly a lot of hassles.
We are working now on obtaining more items for this holiday season from people who are selling off their treasures to make room for new ones.
There are a few items with Fall, Christmas, and soon to be Halloween borders around the description and pictures. I hope that we are able to get a large number
of items listed for the holidays.
I am providing a link to my web site at this point so that you can have an additional place to view my eBay items. I would appreciate it if you would Please visit my website
This is an old web site I am currently working on an update, as I have time. I hope to add this to my selling venues, which would allow longer displayed times for items I am selling.
I will try this year to be a little more diligent in updating the About Me page. I also will be adding a special page to my store sometime that will support the terms and conditions in my ads. I hope that this
will allow me to make a template that is smaller. The general terms and conditions will be linked to each ad page as part of the terms and conditions section and the ad page would only display
any terms and conditions that are unique to the product being advertised.
Well I must get back to working on the ads I have no progress at this time.
Thank you for checking on this page and reading the items that I have presented.
Good bye for now and I will be back with an update again soon.
I hope all of you have a good time using eBay and a lot of luck in your bidding.
Well here I am several days into the second month of the fourth quarter and I haven't published this thing yet.
I now know the Time is conspiring to keep me from updating and publishing this thing. It seems like everything here
is focused on getting things out to supply all my buyers Christmas needs and help my consignment sellers get their Christmas
money for the extra goodies.
We've had a few weeks here where nothing was sold because apparently I did not provide something you either needed or wanted.
My stock is grown somewhat in the area of children's clothes, some toys and stuffed animals, a few telephone items and various other treasures.
A few plans that I have for the coming year are still in the thinking stage and I will probably update this again sometime after the new year. If I find
a lull somewhere between now and then I will update with any plans that begin to firm up.
I do have an item that has helped me speed my ad writing since I seem to get very wordy and type very slowly. I am now using a voice recognition software
that is writing this section of my update while I speak. It's certainly types a lot faster than I do. I have found that this process allows main
hands-free typing while I am examining and measuring the products I'm writing about. It does take a little while to train the software to recognize my speech patterns.
If anyone reading this is interested you can contact me and I will pass along the software name and the company that makes it. I think if you do a lot of typing
you will enjoy the ability to have quick and accurate typing, I guarantee you that this program not only types much faster than I can, but
it spells better too.
I apologize for taking so long to get this published but a lot of things have demanded higher priorities over the last few months.
Now that some of my summer activities and hobbies have been closed down for the upcoming season I will be able, I hope, to keep up with my eBay Project and
some of these updates.
I'm going to hang this up now and try to get back to it before the end of the year. In the meantime I thank all of my buyers and all of my consignment selling customers
for the confidence you have shown in many and all of the positive feedback that my buyers have sent.
In case I do not get back to update this before January, to all of you please have a happy and safe holiday season. I will be looking forward to seeing you the rest of this year
and on into the following years.
Please remember that I try to respond to all communications as rapidly as possible but sometimes my hobbies slow by responses. I also would like to remind you that we try
to ship the same day as payment is received if at all possible. Our longest time since we been in business has been to ship within three business days. We are working on the goal
of making shipment happen no later than the morning after payment during the normal business week.
It really seems like time is conspiring to deal me a short hand. Here it is now the
last five days of the third quarter of 2005 and I do not even know where the second
quarter has gone. September 25 2005 is not a bad fall day and I will be going to my
boat soon for a couple of days to begin the process of de-commissioning for outside
Winter storage.
My garden is crying to be winterizes also. I plan to plant about 100 Garlic plants when
my order arrives around the end of this month. This will give me some to plant and eat next fall.
I will have enough in the order to keep me in the great relative to the Lilly until harvest in July or August.
The Second quarter was very busy with the business, boat, garden, and family commitments. Now
It may settle down some so I can breathe and see if the business is progressing. I have
been on auto pilot for long enough now that it seems that the business has been running itself.
This may be the result of corporateinertia that I complained about when I was working in industry
for someone else. It seems that once a business entity is created it takes on a life of it's own
and it is almost impossible to stop it due to the survival instinct and inertia.
The first of October marks a year and a half In business. At this stage the business has been carrying
itself and paying it's own way. There has been some reinvestment of funds to purchase a camera upgrade very early on.
The loan form the household seems to be going down due to careful funds allocation. This month marked a good savings in
the opurchaseof shipping supplies. I purchased in larger quantities on eBay and have been able to get
more for the buck than shopping at the local office supply stores.
Another savings came when I found that I could renegotiate my DSL service at the end of the yearly contract
and keep it from ttripelling I also found a carrier that is less expensive to ship large items with
because they have higher limits on package size than the other big guys. I am required to take the package
to the local drop off, It seems there is a discount on the fee if the carrier does not have to pick it up.
I will be watching this closer to see if I am correct in this observation.
This season I am looking to working with items on a seasonal aapproachto marketing. I received some
Halloween costumes on consignment and have listed the family set. This listing got bids the first day of
the 7 day listing. I will be listing an other costume soon this will tell me if this may be a good thing for me to work on each year.
I am looking toward Thanksgiving and Christmas for some more seasonal experiments.
I want to proceed now with setting up some product lines for recurrent sales along with seasonal things to steady out the
sales numbers and cash flow. I hope that this will help support operations when the consignment drops during
some periods.
Well I must go now. My chores await. The boat work will not be too bad because we had a better season than the last few.
I may not be updating here again until after the new year. Please watch for more, If there is anything of real
interest I will add it before the new update.
Please have a good holiday season and a great New Year.
Thank you to all of my customers for making this a fun and interesting year and a half.
Good wishes from the two of us at Sailestial Enterprises Inc.
The first quarter of 2005 sure has gone buy quickly. It is April 17, 2005, glad I got my taxes filed early, the first quarter is over.
A few days ago I started my ebaY store. I named it Bill Sailestial Treasures. The name comes from an old yacht brokerage company I used to own. It was called Sailestial Marine Corp. after six years I had to close it because the economy was keeping used sailboat sales depressed and the company was losing money too fast.
When I retired and wanted to begin an ebaY business I fell back to my favorite name. The new company is Sailestial Enterprises Inc. I felt with this name I could do business in any arena and not have to change the name again.
I arrived at the name Sailestial by taking the word celestial and removing the letters Eand replacing them with the letters AI This seems appropriate because one of my biggest passions is sailing. The other reason at the time was a yacht brokerage that specialized in broke ring sailing yachts.
The name Sailestial still as meaning when one considers that one of the major goals of this company is to provide the marketplace and our valued customers with a galaxy of choices. While we constantly strive for customer satisfaction and spectacular customer support and service.
Some of you may have wondered what E WA8OKRunder my picture means. Well to clear up the mystery, for non-hams (amateur radio operators) the story goes like this. The French word DE means ROMin English. The communications experts of the era selected this French word to be used while sending Morse code because it was faster to send than the word ROM The word Elooks like this in graphic Morse (-.. .), The word ROMlooks like this (..-. .-. --- --). Notice the difference in the number of dots and dashes in the graphic definition of each word. The characters WA8OKR are my amateur call sign this whole phrase translates to read FROM WA8OKR. I use to let other hams know that I am one also.
Now we have had a little entertainment I will have to get back to stocking my store.
Well here we are nearing the end of the year. I hope that every one
is happy and safe now and it stays that way for you through all next
year.
I am looking forward to a new set of adventures this comming year.
I found that this eBay selling can be quite fun and I can have some
profits for my efforts. During my experimentations this year I made
some mistakes but it seems that they were a lot less than the correct
things that I did.
I have now decided to proceed with a business venture based on eBay
sales. The first step is to streamline my sales process and shipping
and maintain a high level of customer support. These two are the
primary goals for this comming year. Dependant goals are to enlarge
the scope and types of offerings in our auctions.
We plan on deciding on some fixed price offerings in an eBay store.
I hope that this will begin taking place by Spring and be running
smoothly in time to have a very nice Christmas offering next holiday
season.
Thanks for reading this.

Some times I may be a little slow answering a closing. I will be off enjoying one of my other hobbies. Please be sure I will get a response out as soon as I am available.
We always combine shipments, where practical, to help our buyers save shipping costs.
To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
Hi I thought you needed to at least you see this newbe so I decided to produce this temporary product. I will replace it with better when I get it ready.
I now seem to have a new hobby eBay. It started soon after I retired and the wife decided that I needed to help her clean out the house from 39 years of collecting things.
My retirement in April 2004 came after getting laid off from one too many jobs and me reaching 63 years old. I scheduled my retirement so I would use up my unemployment as the Social Security began. I thought I should start it before I got to a point that I could not enjoy it, since I could not get back what I would lose by waiting.
This brings me back to entering eBay. The house cleaning fostered the idea that some of the stuff may be worth a few dollars and it would be less of a haste than doing Garage Sales. So I began the end of March 2004 listing things that seem to be in the way. Later I will also be listing things that I have had from the family clean outs and parents down sizing their lives.
Well enough for now. As promised I will work on improving this later after things stabilize here in the eBay world.
It is now Aug. 7, 2004 and I have sold many items and have lost count. RRelisting'sseem to be normal now. I have purchased 4 items now and have my eye on some projects that will require more purchases. The amazing thing is that I have a little left over from all this and it seems to be growing. I must say that eBay does beat the garage sale idea.
I do feel that this way is slower than doing it by garage sale but who is in a hurry when they are retired?
I presently have 5 auctions going and will be adding more over the next few days.
It is now Oct. 8, 2004 and I have had many more auctions since last I updated this. as many as 28 going at one time. Boy that was a lot of work, but it was also a bit of fun.
Well this is becoming infectious I have decided to take this to a business level and incorporate soon.
A store front is a while off yet but I am becoming more agressive getting things to sell from family, friends, neighbors and any one I can button hole long enough to listen to my presentation. It seems to work about 10%. It does have me now trying to figure a way to keep more auctions running without breaking the bank. until next time thanks for visiting us and happy bidding.
Some times I may be a little slow answering a closing. I will be off enjoying one of my other hobbies. Please be sure I will get a response out as soon as I am available.
