Hi, I've been INTO horses for as long as I remember, From pretending to ride my pretend horse to school, (I even remember loosening his girth before going into school) to training and freelance galloping Thoroughbred Race Horses all over the country. After 21 years of "track life" and as of 11 years ago a wonderful husband (who, may I add, knows virtually nothing about horses, but back me up all the way) and an 8 year old daughter, (it's in her genes/jeans) I decided to calm it down. Although horses will always be paramont in my life, I've resided myself to showing APHA/PtHA (that's Paint/Pinto). My husband and I have 5 more years in Chicago (He's a Chicago Firefighter). Then we plan to retire out in the country, somewhere south-ish, and breed these incredible animals.
Sometime from now, on our future farm, I will have a small tack store (more likely than not on e-bay). Where I hope to buy and sell previously used, quality tack. The majority of my purchases on e-bay have been horse tack. I currently have 31 bridles (I hope NEVER to own 31 horses, at one time). I keep them in a climate controlled area in my house. I really like, almost, all of them. But the plan is to sell to kids (and adults) who are starting out in this very expensive hobby. Helping to make it somewhat affordable to all. Helping them get quality tack for their four-legged pal, maybe show a bit on the weekends. I've never purchased anything I wouldn't have used on my own horses, or liked myself. I've met many WONDERFUL, PERSONABLE, HELPFUL horse people through e-bay. Two of them, I've even seen (quite by accident) at Illinois shows. We've become rapid friends. We each have a few thing in common: 1) Obviously, the love of horses. 2)The love of family. 3) The Lord is the center of our lives. and 4) E-BAY. What a great establishment. And a great, fun format to meet some truly quality people, at the same time, stumble on bargains that were, at one time, considered IMPOSSIBLE. This is a TEENY-TINY piece of me.
