You can be sure I spend the same careful time making sure buyers' questions are answered, and the item is properly packed and shipped, as I do with preparing my listings and photos.
What you see in my photos is what you will get. My item descriptions are likewise.
I almost always send out the purchased item within a day of receiving payment, and usually can respond to any questions within hours, unless I have a very busy work day.
Your experience buying from me will be a nice one. I sure hope so, anyway. You could buy from me, OR you could take a chance on someone who doesn't really know how to work their camera, or can't spell, or puts together 'cookie-cutter' listings for quick turnover. Check out seller feedback history. They're not all bad. They're often just "a person" too. But, hmm, how will your package arrive?
AND AS FOR FEEDBACK:
I've been lucky not to have had any bad eBay transactions (so far). I always leave Feedback, and I'm surprised when some don't give it. The new eBay Feedback system is not ideal, but is still a useful tool for buyers and sellers in their decisions to do business with someone. The Seller gets to leave much more detailed feedback than buyers do.
For Buyers: Item as Described and Pictured? Delivered in a Timely Manner?" Isn't that all that really matters? You got what you bought or sold what you sold and were happy with the experience.
I hope your experience with the transaction is a good one. When you leave Feedback, I hope you'll consider all the elements.
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
What you see is what you get. I make a special effort to make my listings and item description as clear and thorough as I can. There's always a photo of the exact item for sale/auction — usually more than one photo. If you have any confusions about the description or it's not clear to you, let me know. I don't manufacture the items. If you have any problem with the specific item, let me know, and I'll try to resolve it…if I can.
COMMUNICATION:
I always send a note when payment is received, and another when the item has been shipped. Hopefully you'll have asked important questions about the item before buying. If you have any questions after delivery, let me know. Communicate with me, and I will do likewise. I always respond to e-mail (except spam).
SHIPPING TIME:
I almost always send out the purchased item within a day of receiving payment -- often within 2 hours! I can’t be responsible for how long the postal system takes to get it to you. Sometimes First Class is just as fast as Priority Mail. Sometimes not. If you’re closer to Los Angeles, things will get to you very quickly. Sometimes not.
SHIPPING & HANDLING:
99.9% of the time I list items using the eBay Shipping Calculator, so the cost is the exact postage fee based on the weight of the package, and the final destination, plus a small "handling" fee, which factors in only a portion of many things including the cost of packing materials — boxes and bubble wrap envelopes. Videotapes weigh a lot more than DVDs, and I wrap them in additional bubble-wrap for cushioning. Some VHS tapes weigh more than others. Other items weigh varying weights, and larger boxes and envelopes cost more at the office supplies store. I don't make additional profits as a result of my S&H fees.
