Hello and thanks for taking a look. I'm a avid collector of quality music and high end audiophile quality gear. Its a hobby for the enjoyment of family, friends, and myself. I generally don't do much selling but may occasionally trade.

Due to my purchases being for my personal collection, I am very critical of quality control. I do not accept CDRs, pirates,or copies, only factory pressings. Also, if its scratched keep it -- most consumer grade CD players will play scratched CDs without music interruption, but vacuum tube pro level CD players are of a different animal and the scratched CD, even minor, does in-fact reduce sonic quality.

I do adhere to the typically accepted CD rating system followed by most rare & oop music dealers:

New - Factory Sealed and UnOpened... no questions. . .

10/10 or Mint - opened and as New...no fingerprints, oils, discolorations, absolutely no scratches (not even a faint smudge under bright light), also the CD should contain as new packing material (cd case, artwork, obi, etc.). . .

9/10 or excellent - may contain fingerprints/oils but no permanent marks, no scratches or smudges under bright light. Packaging may contain extremely light ware but be complete. Hi bar!!!! . .

8/10 or great - under bright light may contain two minor flaws. packaging complete and exibit light ware. . .

7/10 or very good - looks used but well maintained, up to 4 minor flaws under bright light, packaging complete but worn. Personally - the very limits of my bidding. . .

6/10 or good - obviously used but maintained, Several flaws visible but the playing surface is still mostly mirror-like under bright light, Packaging complete but appears pretty used. . .

5/10 or fair - Many multiple scratches/abrasions appearent with the playing surface more dull than mirror-like, but does not skip or miss-read in a common consumer grade CD player, packaging very worn and torn.  This is a roughly used CD, one that was probly tossed ontop of the CD player instead of placing it back into its protective packaging for storage.

4/10 or mediocre - CD errors on a single song, packaging gone. Must be extremely rare or extremely cheap (ie free) to consider for purchase.. . .

CDs that have be polished / repaired by one of those disc sanding / polishing machines (or worse by hand) should be LISTED as such!!!!  These discs do NOT even qualify for the above quality scale!!!!!  This repair process removes several microns or more of the polyacrylic disc surface thus altering the focus depth for the players laser pickup / reader -- as a players laser reader assembly is not capable of refocusing to correct for this, errors are created!!!

Tall standards - but when you are serious about music and are willing to pay hundreds of $$$ for a CD then QUALITY is the name of the game. This grading scale can be found across the collector community ... and I take it to heart when buying and selling. . . If you are buying from me, then you are guarenteed the CD is of high standard (or I will refund you money) -- If you are selling to me, then EXPECT to be accountable for the condition you list the CD at!!!
