A little about my family & I
My husband & I share a love for growing plants and we have had many years experiance in raising all types of plants. We are both not young in years and probably should be sat sunning ourselves somewhere, but we also have a large family of 15 grandchildren, who always seem to need important things from Nan & Grandad. So we will keep growing plants and try to keep young so that we can share our hobby with the many friends that we have met on ebay. (& keep our grandchildren supplied with PS2 & X Box games along the way Oh! it's Wi games now! and model trains if grandad can play too!).
With deep sadness I am leaving a memorial on my family section to our eldest grandaughter Kelly Marie Wood who passed away on the 28th July 2008 following a short illness. Kelly was a fantastic young person who had not an easy life having had a heart transplant as a baby at 9 months old. Kelly had lived with us and always came 1st in our lives. She is very much missed and has left a massive hole in our lives.
Kelly lived to be a 'normal' person & had to endure so much in her short life, We were very proud of her. She won many medals in the British Transplant Games and at 20 had begun to enjoy the art of 'clubbing'. Our local newspaper paid her a great tribute on her passing by devoting the whole front page to her plus a further full page inside. WOW now some Negative feedbacks Got my first neg. as a seller after allowing my daughter to sell her clothes on my site. What a shock we've had! The people who buy second hand clothes are a shock to the system, how nasty some of them are for the sake of 99p or less. Lisa sold a nice belt for 50p. The buyer never contacted us, just left a negative! Saying "not a large" The belt was advertised at 37" long, I would have thought that was very clear of the size? I think maybe the problem wasn't the belt!
Since then she has sold lots of clothes but a problem every week it seems. Lisa always tries very hard to please her customers - gives refunds when the postman doesn't deliver (even though she has the receipt) I am sure many of them are putting it on!
Now that EBay has stopped sellers giving negatives or honest replies what a nightmare it has become. Give me my plant customers & Martins train customers EVERY TIME they are always nice to trade with, a stark contrast to the second hand clothes trade.
SO WHILST FEEDBACK IS THERE FOR YOU TO WARN OTHERS ABOUT POOR TRADERS OR ONES TO BE WARY OF, MANY NEGS ARE PROBABLY UNJUSTIFIED. It's always a good idea to put your pointer onto a traders number of negs or neutrals, and it brings them all up to read. Its easy then to see if its the trader thats bad or the buyer thats being bitchy (and we have found some are very).
PREVIOUSLY ONLY 2 Negative feedbacks BOTH FROM BAD SELLERS who retaliated because they didn't like me leaving honest feedback about them. I think that feedback should be kept seperate for buying & selling if it's going to be any use at all as a guide. The new way of not allowing sellers to leave anything other than positive feedback has allowed some buyers to be very unfair. I understand the thinking behind it but it has made the feedback system a farce now.

During our lives we have both shared the same values, 'If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing right' and we offer this in our ebay selling. When he was younger, Martin was one of the countries leading sports trophy manufacturers and his reputation for value and quality was never bettered. (Always top for value for money, hence we never got rich!) Our plants are always as we describe them, healthy and I know at the price we offer them, good value, and thanks to my husband, boxed up like Fort Knox so that they arrive in perfect condition.
You can look at our feedback which shows that so many of you appreciate our dedication and honest approach to ebay. You can buy with the confidence that hundreds of satisfied customers before you, agree that our service, quality and packing is not bettered on ebay.
I LIKE CUSTOMERS TO CONTACT ME IF THEY HAVE ANY CONSERNS OR QUERY. I Will always do what I can to make sure we are all happy.
Sometimes Royal Mail just seem to loose parcels, Thankfully not so often these days, This is not my fault as I will always provide proof of posting. I cannot always replace lost items as I may not have any more! But if there is no delivery after 15 days or the item arrives damaged through bad handling in delivery, I will claim compensation from Royal Mail and refund it to my customer.
WHEN I BUY ON EBAY, I ALWAYS LIKE TO PAY ASAP WITH PAYPAL,
I ALWAYS LEAVE FEEDBACK AS SOON AS I RECEIVE THE GOODS. If the listing shows a high postage cost, I do expect good delivery service & not the cheapest form (2nd class) If a seller does this I will not give more than 3 * for postal costs. On the otherhand I will leave 5* if the delivery is 1st class and good packing. (even if the charge is much higher than cost)
When I sell items, I very rarly charge any more than the postage & packing costs Yet some buyers (not many) have not given me the full 5* for delivery costs. I think this is unfair as I deserve better. My packing & boxing is 2nd to none & I never charge for the glue stick costs that I use to make the plant boxes.
