The Wooly Mammoth

It started in February 2003 and just kept right on growing. With an eye toward the recycling of old barns and sheds Wood & What-knots of Character has expanded to many new fields to discover, explore and dabble. MY sources now include cleanouts of residences, sheds, storage buildings and of course barns. In addition I attend then buy and sell at auctions and flea markets in New York and Pennsylvania. An exciting NEW Adventure has begun with the listing of Twin Tiers Art.  The art features the talents of folks from New York and Pennsylvania primarily from the south central New York and Northern Central PA. For added fun I often take worn or broken furniture, tools and odds and ends to recreate new items with useful purpose and unique character.

I have aligned myself with a few artisans who also believe in the beauty of recycling and who also create original pieces made in full or in part from Recycled materials. In my latest endeavor I am initiating the start-up of regional cottage industries featuring unique and crafted products. Some of the jewelry you'll find comes from one of my sources and soon we'll be featuring candles using recycled canning jars. I've begun providing listing services to local vendors and residents featuring low listing costs and low commissions.
