All about me.....
Hello my fellow ebay users. My name is Carolyn, I am from the east coast - From the lovely state of West Virginia. If you have never been - definately plan to visit at some point in your life. You won't find a more beautiful spot, at least in my opinion. I am currently not living in my home state and do miss it more than anyone will ever know. I do have siblings and I am the oldest. Good or bad all of 1st born out there know what that is like. My wonderful husband encouraged my 1st experience with ebay. And ever since I have been hooked, much to his dismay. Ebay is my full time job - so most of the time I am around - email me if I can do anything for you or answer any questions you may have. I am a lover of animals, people, and vintage shoes - which I never knew until I found some on ebay - but they are fab.
Before ebay I worked as a manager at several retail locations: Coldwater Creek in Leesburg, Va - Friedman's Jewelry in Leesburg, Kasper in Leesburg. I also worked at Peircing Pagoda & Northern Reflections as a Manager in Manassas, Va. Here in Texas I sold cars for 2 months & decided it wasn't for me. And I worked part time at James Avery.

My Family....
Well I though I would tell you a bit about my grandmother. Her name was Betty Cross. She was a beautiful lady that was born in 1929, and she passed away several years ago. She grew up in gassaway, which is now her resting place. I must say her passing has effected me more than I would have ever thought. She taught at the local Schools as there only art teacher. She traveled between the elementary schools for years, until they hired another teacher. At that point the 2 teachers split the schools. She was quite a lady and a wonderful art teacher - she actually taught me how to drawl, which is pretty amazing in my book.
Speaking of which for all of you art lovers out there. My husband is working on opening an online art gallery. We will also be listing some of his art work soon under this ID, please let us know what you think of it when we get it up and running!! Hopefully you'll see this soon....
My Great Grandma - Virginia Henderson is a wonderful funny lady. I am pretty sure this is where my love of old things began. You should see her house, it is absolutely the most wonderful one I've seen. It was built in the 1900's & has some very neat features. A stunning stained glass window, huge deep front porch & the coolest servants stair well. It aslo has a small button in the dining room near the Mistresses seat. So that she can call for the next course at dinner. When pushed it rings a bell in the kitchen. Her house is full of wonderful old things.
My grandfather Lev Henderson that recently passed away was also a really neat man. He was so funny... and could talk in his pudgy voice perfectly. Kids loved that voice. He also was a whiz at Mahjong.... he taught me & my sister how to play. If you've never played the game you should, its so much fun. He held the family record win until I was about 12 & then I beat his big win.
Myron Silas Gregory - my Papa passed recently. It was a huge shock to us. Grandpa was a verteran he served in the Korean War & boy was he ever proud of his country. Grandpa was born in Pa & loved it there. He always used to take us back on trips to visit one of his sisters that lived in the old homestead. Then we all started getting together once a year for the family reunion. Grandpa wrote several books about his life & experiences. I love go back through them reading & remembering his stories. I miss him a great deal, but know he is with me always. He is the one that taught me to not do it "half assed", cause it isn't worth doing then. And he taught me to have pride in our country.
Well as for the rest of my family, it is rather large, and they all live on the east coast. I have one brother - Ben & he'll be marring Kari this summer... 2 sisters - Samantha, she will marring Liam the summer of 2008 and Ali - she is in college. Both of my parents are still alive, as are both of my step parents. The remainder of the clan is to large to mention or you will be reading a novel... Guess I am pretty lucky, well time to get back to selling! And please let me know if you are looking for something - You never know I just may have it!
