Hello, I am www_webfoot.

As my name indicates, I've been stomping around the internet since before it was the internet.  I remember 'bulletin boards' direct dial-in sites, and computer hacking before it was considered a crime.  I don't do those things anymore.  My first modem required me to dial a telephone number, (yes, I said dial) and put the telephone's handset into a unit that could transmit and receive at 110 baud!!!

About me and eBay:  I do it for fun.  If I'm lucky, at month's end I will have accumulated enough money to pay eBay their fees.  Sometimes I also have enough to buy $20 worth of gasoline.  I like to break even, but don't always.  I don't get upset, nor do I feel that I've hit the Powerball if I make a buck because next month may be a bust.  It's just fun.

My interests include fishing, vintage cars, guitars and other interesting stuff. I'm retired (early), live on top of a mountain and enjoy a simple life with my wife and family, my dogs, guitars, cars, and a good glass of wine every now and then.   I have been the Controller of several large corporations, owned my own computer business for 11 years and love to travel, read and learn.  I try to stay current with technology, but it seems to be going faster than I can read.

I began playing a ukelele when I was 9 years old and traded for my first electric guitar when I was twelve.  I'm not a good player, but have fun. I envy those greats that I see at concerts and festivals.

The Rules for transporting people 

1. Always be courteous and permit your wife to transport before you. What if the transporter should malfunction?!!
2. If your wife is not available, invite that neighbor who borrows your tools to go with you, and allow HIM to go first.
3. After the transporter has been tested, transport yourself somewhere else and have a good time.
4. Never, ever, transport wine or liquor unless you've already consumed it.

The Rules for Goods to be Transported

1. Be honest about the goods: point out any flaws or deficiencies, and offer suggestions to correct them.  Not adhering to this will result in negative feedback.
2. Research the items and convey as much information as possible to potential buyers.  Reference sources of additional information.
3. Tell where it came from, when and how you got it, and make it as interesting and informative as possible.
4. Offer items for a realistic price.  Never make the starting price for a grilled cheese sandwich more than $30,000.
5. Allow and encourage the asking of questions.  More importantly, answer all those questions in a timely manner:  at least 2 minutes before the auction closes.

Rules for the Teleport of Goods

1. Transport products timely and use a service that you can track.
2.  Insure items of value.  It doesn't cost as much for insurance as it would to replace the item, especially it the item cannot be replaced.
3. Follow the "Golden Rule", but CYA (cover your assets).
4. Be honest about your offering so you can sleep at night without wetting the bed.

The Basic Rules for Transporting Money

1. Never "not-pay" for an auction item that you've won! There is no easier way to get negative feedback, and other painful problems. Two?? words:  'non-paying bidder', 'Dispute resolution' or 'Uncle Guido'.
2. Follow the guidelines within the offering.  If it says "PayPal Only", either use PayPal or don't bid.  If it says "Postal money order", then send a postal money order.  Or, contact the seller PRIOR to bidding, for exceptions.
3. If payment specifics are not detailed in the auction, follow the rules within eBay's guidelines.  Payment or arrangements within 7 days, etc...
4. If paying by money-order, be sure that you purchase a 'real one'.  There are a lot of counterfeit money-orders available.
5. Teleporting funds is much faster and safer than old, conventional methods that require postage stamps.  It is also FREE to buyers.  So consider opening a PayPal account.  Remember: faster and safer!
