Claudia, who grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been bodyboarding professionally for over 20 years.
She got her start by surfing at Guaruja, a beach an hour from Sao Paulo,
and owned one of the first bodyboards ever in Brazil back in 1983.
Since then, Claudia has garnered numerous awards being the most impressive:
-"BANZAI PIPELINE HAWAII BODYBOARDING CHAMPION 2007"
-"WOMEN BODYBOARDING WORLD CHAMPION 1995"
-"Vice World Champion 1990"
- "5 times Sao Paulo State Champion", and
She was granted in 2000 by the INS (Immigration and Naturalization
Service) with an American Green Card recognizing her as:
"Extraordinary Ability Athlete in the Sport of Bodyboarding" and
with pride she became an american citizen on 2006.
For the past 18 years, she lives on the North Shore of OAHU, Hawaii and
her biggest goals are
to help the improvement and awareness of Women Bodyboarding in America,
to help the growth of Hawaii's tourist industry and preserve Hawaii's natural beauty.
She expects to achieve it with the development of her web sites and online gifts stores.
She has also been consistently ranked as one of the Most Popular Bodyboarders in the World by
the five leading bodyboarding magazines and was awarded Most Inspirational Woman
Bodyboarder by the Global Organization of Bodyboarders (GOB) in 1997.
She has fought for the professionalization of Women Bodyboarding back
in 1990 when the girls decided to become professional.
