About qrstuvr the artist / seller
I am primarily a self taught artist. Although I have only been oil painting on and off since March of 2001 I feel I have progressed and improved dramatically. I have already shown my work in several galleries throughout Chicago and was recently chosen to show a painting in New York's "Brave Destiny", the largest show of living surreal, visionary artists. My work is already creating a buzz around Chicago with it's strange yet colorful subject matter. So why ebay?
Although I do have my own website in which I show and sell my artwork, I thought I would give ebay a try. I recently joined an online community for artists called EBSQ. This community is known on ebay for having reputable independent artists sell nice work for a reasonable price. I see this as a good chance for me to not only make new artist friends and patrons, but also be represented by an already known and established group of artists. I in turn am able to represent EBSQ as well.
Another reason I chose ebay is the amount of traffic it receives. With several hundred thousand (million?) viewers per week shopping for a good deal on a good product I figure it's a great place to attract new admirers and clients.
