Hello and Welcome to MY Page
As you can see my favorite color is green!
This is my ebay story:
My daughter was deployed to Iraq in Feburary of 2003. As any military family knows, it's difficult to sleep when one of your loved one is in a war zone.
A friend was a power seller. I asked her to mentor me. I started, as we all do by cleaning out my closets. It was a wonderful distractor. In the middle of the night if I was tossing and turning, I would check my auctions or list new auctions or package sold things.
The good news is my daughter, a Commander of a Massachusetts National Guard Company and ALL the soldiers in her command returned home safely in April of 2004. It was a wonderful relief to all the families and especially me.
I found that I wanted to keep selling on ebay. For me it is a fun and relaxing hobby. I come home from work and check my auctions, answer questions, list a few things. Some folks watch television, I ebay!
Sometimes I set little goals. I bought a new car and named it my "ebay mobile". It's a Subaru Forester and perfect for packing the back with finds at estate sales, garage sales and markdowns from retail stores. I try to sell enough to cover my car payment each month. I have a full time job which is demanding so I am limited to how much ebay I can do. Opening a store helped. I can move my inventory between the store and auctions as I want. I have mentored other friends as sellers.
I plan to do more ebay selling when I retire. What a great way to add to your income! It's fun to find bargains and pass them on to folks who are shopping on ebay.
I am very honest and try to keep pricing and shipping reasonable. I pride myself on being friendly, honest and describing each item carefully.
I hope you continue to watch and bid on items from Betty's Bargain Box. Hopefully, you enjoyed my ebay biography.
Thank you for taking the time to let me share my story with you.
