We Use What We Sell.

We firmly believe in the negative ion generator products that we offer for sale here. In fact, all of our IG- series ionizers, the DustGrabber and the negative ion emitters were originally developed by us for our own personal use. We manufacture them right here in the USA, in our own facilities in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri.

WE FEEL A SERIOUS RESPONSIBILITY...

... to our customers or clients. If one is manufacturing a product, it must be a good product, or if performing a service, it must be work very well done. In advertising or selling, one cannot employ lies, misrepresentation, trickery or deception in any form whatsoever. Engaging in business means hard work, not smooth talk. For us, honesty isn't just the best policy, it's the only policy.

How we got started in the ionizer business

Comtech Research first became involved in building negative ion generators as a result of health problems experienced by the owner's wife. Her allergies and asthma were so severe that her husband was seriously concerned for her life. All the medicine she regularly took only helped to a very limited extent. She then tried using a $600 'ionizer' that was really just an ozone generator, a 'thunderstorm in a box' with hardly any actual negative ion output. Her resulting improvement was slight, but the results were nevertheless encouraging.

Her husband had first heard about negative ion generators when he went to a trade show with his father and uncle, back when he was still in junior high school. So he started researching the Internet for additional information about negative ions. Having a background in electronics (when the other kids were out playing football, he was in his dad's basement, soldering iron in hand), he decided that he could construct a better negative ion generator himself. He then draped the bare electronics of his ionizer over an old wooden cuckoo clock in the room where his wife was. Two hours after turning it on, his wife was breathing noticeably easier. Was it a mere coincidence? He had to find out. So he built a second ionizer, this time assembling both it and his original unit inside of protective cases. Yes, there was no doubt that his wife was definitely breathing much easier now! So he made still more ionizers and put them all over the old farm house that they lived in at the time.

After several weeks of continued easier breathing for his wife, the owner wondered if other people with breathing problems might be interested in his negative ion generators. The idea was to help other people, not to get rich. Being in the web business, they decided to begin offering them for sale on a web site.

One of the ionizers around the old farm house had been put on a shelf near the owner's computer monitor. For months, he had not been able to work at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time. He had tried a new chair, a different monitor, a wrist support, even an expensive ergonomic mouse and keyboard, and yet nothing seemed to help. Yet, shortly after he put an ionizer on the shelf above where he was working, he realized that he had spent eight hours at the computer with hardly a break. The negative ions were apparently helping to overcome the effect of positive ions being emitted by the computer monitor. (Past scientific research dating back to the 1930s has provided evidence that positive ions can make people tired, irritable, and experience difficulty thinking clearly.) He had heard that negative ions could improve a person's mood, but had not personally experienced anything like it until then. Now this was something: not only might negative ion generators help people physically, but they might even help improve the mood in the work environment too.
