Hello from Sunny Southern California
The name drcop2u is derived from my two professions, law enforcement and occupational health. Kind of a two edged sword. Primarily I've been involved in fire cause and origin/arson investigation and accident investigation, as well as traffic safety, in recent years, but now I've been put out to pasture on disability for a number of years, so will likely be looking at accident and arson investigation from the private sector standpoint if health issues allow.
I'm considered an "expert" in the field of the late model Ford Police Interceptor vehicles and have written a number of guides on eBay and in other areas to help future buyers understand what a police car really is, what to look for in a used vehicle, what constitutes certain uses of police vehicles and generally, to help them reduce the potential for getting a bad deal on a used vehicle. I also have done extensive research on emergency vehicle equipment including warning lights and speed detection equipment, and have written guides on those subjects as well. The guides do not cover all possible subject knowledge; there just isn't enough room. But reading them before buying should give readers a reasonable understanding of what they are getting into before buying a vehicle or equipment that they could be sorry about later. "Buyers Remorse" is one thing and having a specialty vehicle and/or equipment that lets you down when it's needed most is a whole other ballpark, as they say.
Please note we do NOT accept SIGNATURE REQUIRED shipments without our prior authorization. Sellers who do not specify a shipping method, or who do not advise us in an e-mail that this will be required, will likely have their items returned. Frequently, there is no one available to sign for them, and they are returned to the sender after several delivery attempts. This not to say we will not accept such shipments, but we MUST be aware this is the method being used, AND have a tracking number, so we know when the item will arrive, or we will not be available to accept the shipment. We thank you for your understanding.
