	ABOUT US Dyscern is a small-but-growing-fast business based in the Washington metro area in Virgina. We specialize in selling consumer electronics to customers within North America, South America, Australia and Europe. Our focus is providing great deals on store returns, refurbished units and other goods and passing the enormous savings on to our customers with our Platinum-Standard 30-day Guarantee. We provide excellent value coupled with helpful, friendly customer service and fast delivery of goods anywhere in the world. We have been serving the eBay community since 31 January, 1999. We also operate Dyscern Closeout, which specializes in selling damaged goods, as-is goods and goods for parts or repair. OUR PRODUCTS Store Returns. These are units that have been returned to the store by the original buyer. In some cases, we will get these store returns serviced by the manufacturer to restore them to full working order. Store returns pass through the store and at least one warehouse before arriving at our facility, so the unit may have a few light scratches. If there is any wear above and beyond this, we grade the wear in one of four categories: Excellent Condition These items will be in near perfect condition. As they have been handled by the original owner, the store, and our facility, they may have a few very minor scratches. However, they will need to be sought out and will not be immediately evident without a close inspection. Light Use Items listed as light use will have minor scratches on the front and back of the unit. The LCD on these units will be clear of scratches. Below are representative pictures of light use units. Moderate Use Items listed as moderate use will have obvious scratches on the front and back of the unit. The scratches will be deeper, larger and more clustered and units listed as light use. The LCD on these units may have a minor scratch or two, but will be difficult to see with normal use. Below are representative pictures of moderate use units. Extensive Use Items listed with extensive use will be extensively worn. These units will not be pretty. They will have a great number of scratches and wear marks on the front and back of the unit. The LCD on these units will likely have some scratches or wear. They will be visible in regular use. The LCD will be fully functional and will not be gouged or otherwise impaired. These units are only recommended for someone looking for the lowest price and are not concerned with cosmetic appearances. Note with PDAs and MP3s players, extensive use units can be wrapped in glove-like cases (purchased separately) to conceal most of the wear. Below are representative pictures of extensive use units. The above applies strictly to cosmetic evaluations. Note that on PDAs and laptops, any marks or scratches on the LCDs will be noted specifically. Any damage or functional issues will also be listed and noted specifically on the auction page. We are very meticulous in noting damage or functional defects. Refurbished. These are units that have been restored to original factory specifications by the manufacturer. In some cases, these units will have been rejected for cosmetic reasons. Those reasons will be noted on the auction page. Repaired. In some cases, we do our own hardware repairs with certified technicians. Any units where we conduct a physical repair will be noted on the auction page. New. If we have brand new items, we will list them as such. This means that are new in the box, sealed and will not have been opened or tested. It's as if you picked it up off the shelf at a store. An important note store returns. We test each item carefully at our facility. But like all companies, we will on occasion make mistakes. In the event we do, please contact us immediately. We have a 30-day guarantee to cover such contingencies. We will replace or repair your purchase, or provide a full refund, all at no cost to you in the event of a functional problem we did not catch in our tests. But like all companies, we will on occasion make mistakes about a unit's functionality. In the event we do, please contact us immediately. Extended Warranty Our customers should assume no manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated at the top of the auction. eBay is partnered with a major warranty company to sell a one-year comprehensive extended warranty for all our items. We ship to the Caribbean, Central and South America and Europe. We ship to select countries in Asia, Israel and South Africa. Please check with us if you require shipment elsewhere. We cannot ship to the Ukraine, Russia, Indonesia and most countries in Africa for insurance reasons. Please note that DHL assesses a "remote area" fee if you are not near a city. We will contact you if this fee is due for your shipment. Delivery time via UPS Ground ranges from 1-6 business days. Shipping via USPS Global Express Mail is 1-5 business days worldwide to the country. We fully insure all our shipments to ensure smooth delivery.
