We’re Ed & Shelia (pronounced same as Sheila). We’re a happily married couple … for 30 some years now & have both crossed that 50 mile marker & kept going ! We live in a small town, in a HUGE house that is over 170 years old …. So now you know what we do in our spare time !
We have plans to build a much smaller home in the country for our retirement years. Something that requires less maintenance & gives us plenty of time for traveling & going south for the winters to get away from those wonderful Ohio winters we have right now ! Actually, we thought we would be leading calm, settled lives after our son grew up, but it’s just never happened yet !
Speaking of our son …… we have one adult son Bill, who is 29, & hates for us to brag about him to people. But he’s a very handsome, intelligent guy who decided to go back to school & will soon be headed for the police academy. How could we possibly not be proud !!!!
Now if he’d just settle down & give us a house full of grand babies our lives would be complete ! Anyone out there got a nice daughter who needs a wonderful husband ? Actually, he tells us that he doesn’t want to get serious & have a family until he’s out of school. Oh sure …. NOW he decides to be responsible & do the right thing .
And then there’s Sarah, she’s our baby. Well … she’s not actually a baby anymore, she’s 15. But to us, she’ll always be the baby ! She is absolutely gorgeous … beautiful long, reddish brown hair & the absolute biggest brown eyes you’ve ever seen & sooooo bright, she has always been a smart little gal, & a sheer joy to be around ! She, unlike our son loves to be admired & fussed over !
She would let us spend 24 hours a day pampering & loving her ! Yes, we admit we’ve spoiled her rotten, & kept her very sheltered every since we adopted her when she was 6 weeks old. Why she has no idea she is much different than the rest of the family, & is really a D-O-G. As far as she knows, the word “Chow” means spoiled little baby !
How did we ever get started on E-Bay ? Well in 2003 I (Shelia) had to retire from my job in retail management from the company that everyone shops with, & watches for “falling prices” at because ….. I found myself in severe pain , in a wheelchair, & unable to work any longer.
We were told in 2004 even with surgery I would live in severe pain, never walk again, & be a “legal junkie” for life…. if I managed to beat the 50/50 odds of surviving the surgery. What encouraging news, huh ? But when your 46 & have a strong faith that GOD is still in control…… you take the odds they give you & decide to beat them !
Well, I’m obviously still here ! At this time I still deal with the pain, & I still have to use very heavy pain meds to get out of bed each day, BUT ….. when I do get out of bed every morning ….. I walk on my own two feet ! I have a cane that my great grand father carved out of wood for my great grand mother who was very short, like me. Instead of sitting in the corner collecting dust, I use it most days, BUT …. I’m doing what they said I would never do again ! And I thank GOD every day for giving me that opportunity !
All of that because …. it was while I was laying in bed recuperating from that surgery that I began thinking of what we could do to make some extra income to pay off those huge medical bills of mine. E-Bay was the answer for us !
We started out selling things from around the house we didn’t need, but as time went on we branched out to searching out good deals on things we could buy & resell on E-Bay. The money we make helps out with the expenses we have for all of my meds & medical expenses.
Why that hubby of mine who hated shopping in any shape or form … has turned into a HUGE bargain hunter that could turn almost any outing into a shopping trip ! He’s out & about a lot more than I am & he’s become quite the “deal grabber” !
There are many times that my health requires days of resting, or time in bed. So I can’t always do a lot of the physical aspect of the business. When I can‘t, Ed takes over for me. I know that he has plenty to do already with this big old house of ours & work, but he never complains about the endless post office trips or all the lifting & moving he does for me. He’s AWESOME !!!!! That’s why after all these years, HE’S still my Knight in Shining Armor !!!!
We are born again Christians & believe that the way we “E-Bay” should reflect that ! Like everything else in our lives …. We must answer to GOD for the way we do business ! So while we are obviously here to make some money ….. We do our best to go “above & beyond” for each of our customers & try to give them an enjoyable experience they will remember.
We look for the very best deals we can find so we can keep our prices fair & give you really great buys. We keep our shipping & handling low, making our profit off of the items we sell. NOT by gouging our customers with over inflated shipping costs ! And if we make a mistake … we fess up to it & get it taken care of as quickly as we can. We’re going on 1,200 feedback now, & only had 1 unhappy customer … we think that’s pretty good ! And just in case that person happens to see this ….. If you had at least contacted us before leaving that negative, we could have taken care of it & refunded your money !!!!

One last thing ….. We have a heart for those who live around us, less fortunate than ourselves. We feel that no one should go to bed hungry at night, not have a warm bed to sleep in, or not know that there is someone in this world that cares about them. We pray that someday God will use us in a big way to provide for those who need a helping hand. For now, we do what we can by donating a portion of each sale we make to a local mission that provides, food, shelter, & HOPE to those in need. We’re blessed to know that we can have a small part in helping someone get a new start in life when they need it most. And we encourage you to do what you can to help those in need around you. Together, we Can & WILL make a difference !!!!!!
