I am the first born of 7 children, the first 6 are girls. My sisters are a truly remarkable group of women. Each one is beautiful and talented, most are very artistic. We are all very close and live near enough each other that we can manage to get together often, usually at our 86 year old Mother's home.
We usually take a lot of photos and one of our favorite is to line up in birth order, we do this often and of course when the photo is being shot we are all competing to look the flirty-est.
I chose this as my Ebay identity because of the inspiration I receive from this special group of ladies. Here is a photo taken just last year, all the daughters are 50-something , it includes our lively mother, notice all those high-lighted cheekbones. She is a war bride from Sardinia Italy, our father was Army Air Corp during WWII. Dad's heritage is American Indian/Dutch.
If your a careful reader you will notice I said there are 6 daughters and there are 7 in the photo. The extra darling is our cousin who lived often with or near us and we consider a full sister. (Yes it's the blond)

I am interested in all things clay. After many years studying other types of art including all types of painting, needlework, quilting and photography I was introduced to clay and it has become my passion. The skills I have acquired through the years have come together in clay.
Since my retirement from the Postal Service in 2003 I have had time to concentrate on my art work. I have just begun to offer my work on Ebay and am very encouraged by the support I have received from Ebay members. It is indeed a terrific community.
My art tiles are about nature, especially about the wonderful wildlife around the Homosassa River
on the Gulf coast of Florida where I live.
My home on the north bank of the river is often visited by the lovely water birds,
fish, manatees, dolphin, dragonflies, moths etc that inspire my art work.
The wading birds are one of my favorite subjects, they often come peek in the glass doors at me while I work.
When they are injured they somehow know I'm a soft touch and come begging for an easy meal.
I will feed them until they can care for themselves and then wean them
back to doing their own fishing.
I do all sorts of glazes, low fire, high fire and Raku, and high relief to hand drawn designs. Right now the Raku is receiving the most attention,
and it is my favorite too. The end results are usually a surprise, no 2 pieces are ever exactly the same.
Potters often attribute these "happy accidents" as gifts from the kiln gods. Sometimes the "gifts"
are not too kind, total loss of a piece is often experienced, but when everything comes together the
results are truly a wonder.
