Arkansas Enhydro Auctions
On occasion I will also be listing my very rare Arkansas Smokey enhydro Crystals. Below is information on how I dig and find these rare treats. If you are interested in buying an enhydro and I dont have one listed please contact me and I will get one listed as soon as I can :)
I enjoy many outdoor activities but my favorite is hunting ultra rare crystals. Arkansas enhydros are located in the rolling foothills on the south side of the Ouachita mountain range. The crystals I find are quite different that the ones found at the mines in the northern part of the ouachitas. You cant get these at the mines and rock shops because there are no mines here that mass produce this type of quartz. The pockets are too small and to scattered to make comercial mining practical.
I consider myself an expert on this type of quartz and have spent countless hours examining their many features.
Locating the veins is my biggest challenge as most are hidden beneath several feet of topsoil. I must look for them in areas where the topsoil has been removed due to erosion, construction, ect then get permission from the land owner to dig them.
Digging for these is always done by hand!! You cant just go pay to dig these.....the only way to get them is to hike around and that is something takes lots of time with few rewards! I have been hunting these since I was in my early teenage years and it has taken me all those years to lear where to look
All digging is done with the upmost respect for the land, all holes are filled in not only with dirt but also rocks. The rocks hold all the dirt in place to prevent the loose dirt from becoming a mud hole when it rains.
