Hello! from Desiree Vittorio.
I love creating funky and fun little girl's and baby's clothing. I
started sewing when I was just 5 years old after moving to the Suburbs
of Des Plaines, IL from Chicago. My grandmother use to create cute
outfits for me and I use to play all day in the buttons, fabric, and
sewing machine cover. When I moved away, I began sewing and it helped me
not feel so far away. I was given a sewing machine when I was 9 and made
some pretty strange things. My baby sister was born and I began making
her dresses when I was 12. After this, I realized how fun designing for
little girls was. The late teens came and I had NO time for sewing, but
finally my baby cousins were born almost 5 years ago and I have been
having fun sewing inspired by them.

Designing today
I just won 1st place in fashion illustration for designing my Mint Chip Collectionat UNLV! I am so happy!
Today, I am working on high fashion, funky, and unique girls
clothing. I am
working on and Early Spring and Summer sets. There are at least 5 in
production at any time. I take about 10 days to customize your set and
attention to detail is my top priority. Most seams are sewn French style
or
finished with a serger. I go out of my way to find the most gorgeous and
often limited fabrics. I list the latest items at eBay, but your welcome
to
email me about any of the designs. I am finishing my degree in Economics
at
UNLV and will graduate May, 2007. After graduation, I will work on
designing
more fun outfits and really work on getting MiaCarina.com to a new level
as
a business. As well as creating, I have ALWAYS loved dancing. I danced
ballet for 10 years, then immediately found Argentine Tango. I dance
about 4
nights a week! I currently host a tango website for Las Vegas,
www.zapatosrojos.info and try to have fun all the time. Thanks for
