A family run business that was just supposed to happen. I was 6 and my brother was 4 when my dad had this crazy idea of tearing off the body of a 65 bug and terrorizing the river dikes of the Missouri river. It was nothing more than a pan job with stock seats and barely ran but what fun we had. My brother and I were really uptown when we actually had a roll bar to hang on to. It was not the safest in the world but hell, this was when they barely had belts in cars. A real rotten group known affectionately (well by some, not so much by others) as the River Rats. With a ring leader in Butch Whistler you know you were probably going to get into trouble some way or another and he had a band of hardy "gentlemen" in the likes of Wayne Bells, Larry Lamastas, Bobby Reynolds, Gary Swallow and obviously most important to me, my dad, Bill Bice. Lots of beer drinking, hell raising weekends led to some great memories growing up that inspired and ignited my passion in this crazy sport.

The Fire was born in me!!!

As the years went by the buggies got nicer and the passion got stronger. Motors were built better and cars were built stronger but it was still good old redneck sport. There was D&D Buggies supplying what parts were destroyed with Don Sowers and Don Gibson giving out good advice to guys and Jim Kelley slapping paint on the frames that was hotter than the summer sun most of the time. A bunch of great guys who tried to do the right things for their buddies and family (just sometimes they might bend the law a little) HaHaHa. Family and friends doing something they love and most important something they could afford.

Well that was the beginning, lot of years gone now as well as some of our best buds. We miss them everyday but they would be proud that we still drive these stupid things and still dump our money and energy into them. Although we have all changed with time the buggies are still just good old fun that brings friends and family together. We laugh and cuss, probably too many broken knuckles and burns from the welders and torches but in the end when you put your foot into it and it gives that sweet music it is all worth it. A great time is sure to follow.

Well here we are now with a brand new company that we started for the love of the sport. An attempt to keep this sport alive and strong and drag as many sorry souls into it that we can. To let them experience the fun and joy of it as well as the expense of the parts youbreak., HaHaHa. We want to be the ones you call on for advice and know that you are dealing with good honest people that will always do the best we can for you. We wont always have what you need or have all the answers but we will do our best every time. Our goal is to help you enjoy the sport and to provide the best quality parts at the best prices we can. And of course the best possible customer service that we can provide.

Now it is my wife Pam, my sons Tyler and Travis, and me. We are now in another stage of our life where we start making memories for our kids and hope to create half the rucus that the original bunch caused. A family run business that pulls us closer together having fun doing what means the most to us. My wife and I work hard together to bring you the best we can in service and shipping but, most important, a friend and family you can count on when you need us. We hope to be around for years as one of your favorite sources for VW and offroad parts. A place you can trust and depend on. A place where you have friends in the business.
