WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Where the vehicle is NOT MORE THAN 10 years old and has been driven less than 160,000kms, it is automatically covered by Statutory Warranty under Section 54 of the MOTOR CAR TRADERS ACT 1986, for the first 3 months or 5,000km after pick up or delivery, whichever occurs first.

1. All claims for warranty must be made within the specified warranty period.

2. Mordialloc Auto Salvage wil supply free of charge all components required to recitfy any authorised claims, and reserves the right to supply and fit second hand components where practicable.

3. Warranty will be void where any works have been undertaken by any person or person(s) other than Mordialloc Auto Salvage authorised repairers during the warranty period.

4. Mordialloc Auto Salvage will not recognise any warranty claim where any failure or defect is caused by:

• The use of insufficient or incorrect oil and/or lubricants.
• Misuse, overloading, accidents or negligence.
• Failure to carry out proper and/or specified maintenance.
• Unauthorised repairs, dismantling or alterations.
• Improper application.

5. In the event of any preliminary signs of malfunction, it is the customer's responsibility to cease operation and to immediately report the problem to Mordialloc Auto Salvage. Failure to comply with this condition may result in more serious consequential damage and may void any warranty entitlement.

6. In the event of any claim being declined, Mordialloc Auto Salvage reserves the right to recover out-of-pocket expenses incurred in transporting, dismantling and inspection. Such costs must be reimbursed by the customer prior to redelivery or pick up of the item.

7. In the event of any dispute, a mutually acceptable third party opinion may be obtained to adjudicate on claims.
