So . . . what is "Motorphilia"?
__
It means "car lover" and . . . basically, that's
me . . .I love cars . . . I mean, they just excite me . . . and I've had
this passion for them since I was just a little kid playing with some
Matchbox cars may years ago.
I'm sure I'm not alone here . . . simply put, cars
are cool.
But as for dealerships . . . that's something
different . . .
I started Motorphilia in 2007 after a spending 5
years with BMW of Austin as a sales manager and the founder of their eBay
store . . .
So far, this has been quite an adventure and I'm
seeing some exciting changes about to happen in this industry. . . and
maybe it's a slight delusion ,but I think we're helping this happen.
My reasons for leaving my esteemed and cozy
position with BMW were set in a deep belief I have for making life easier
for you (the customer) and also in making this industry one that is honorable
and not complicated.
I mean, seriously, when the term "used car
salesman" a compliment to anyone?
As I've matured in my life, I've realized that
there are two types of people out there when a change is needing to be
made for the better . . . those who just complain and those who get up,
strike out, and make it happen -- and take a risk.
So . . . an opportunity came in early 2007 for me
and one of my best clients to take over a local Lotus dealership . . . and
I had the opportunity to look over their books . . .
Then it struck me . . . almost every
dealership wastes money . . . this was a small dealership and they were
spending hundreds of thousands in overhead and losing tons of money . . . and they were
making huge profits per sale.
The store I was working with was spending millions
. . . and it really wasn't needed.
It amazed me how many people HATE car dealers . .
. but I can't blame them.
The basic business model of the past just
does not act in the customer's best interest, regardless of how emphatic
some dealerships marketing say they care -- they really don't.
They are wasting your money in radio and
television ads, newspapers, billboards, prime retail locations, magazine
and other print, poor and overly complicated website designs, multi
million dollar showrooms, ill trained and ineffective sales people and
management paid on a system that is all about their interest . . . not
yours.
If they cared, they would make the
changes that really matter . . . and they don't.
So, I decided to leave this all behind and start
Motorphilia . . . it's something different. . . we rely on social media
and word of mouth marketing. Our relationships are our assets. We see
every dollar we spend as your dollar. I didn't start this company to
become rich. I started it to change the way this whole mess of a business
works.
This company works with you as your partner in
finding the car that is right for you and selling it to you at wholesale
pricing anywhere in the United States.
We have access to over 50,000 cars a week at
wholesale auction houses across the country and we have shippers lined up
throughout this vast network.
This company is a product of my passion to help
make your lives better and easier.
The best way to describe Motorphilia is to think
of having a friend who can help you get a great deal on a car and who
isn't going to pull one over on you . . . that's basically the gist, but
on a national scale.
I put everything I own into starting this company
and I'm not a rich person . . . I've seen how bad dealerships have made it
for many people and I'm doing this so that change can begin.
Our methods to interact with our clients are
innovative and different from anything you've experienced before and you
don't have to leave the comfort of your home.
Come experience a revolution in the car buying
experience.
Come try Motorphilia.
I promise, the way you buy a car is about to
change.
Thank you for stopping by.
I look forward to meeting you soon. |
