About Me: munchkinssparkle( 1171Feedback score is 1000 to 4,999) About Me

Hilo! Thank you for looking at my page! I resisted doing a Me for ages, but I think maybe it's a way of humanizing this whole thing. My name is Anna (my nickname is Munchkin, or Munch, or Munchie, etc, and has been for about 15 years), I'm 29 and I'm a Christian counsellor, so am an active Christian. If you have questions about Christianity or Jesus Christ, please feel free to email me any time. Equally, if you're ever struggling and need prayer or someone to talk to, am only an email away :o)

If you found my page via Garden of Eden Jewellery, thank you so much for your interest! I will be starting full time mission training in October 2009, so I have now closed down my website, and I won't be selling on eBay anymore. I may still be able to make commissioned jewellery, though, so if you have something in mind, please do send me an email and we can have a wee natter about what you'd like :o)

I've collected I think more than 1000 old photos and altered images and this is one of my 2 favourites... I could happily disappear into this picture :o)

On eBay, I'm a seller as well as a buyer and I have no feelings on unicorns one way or the other. Perhaps I need to look inwards more. I design and create all my own auction (and About Me) templates - it's so, so fun! - and recently designed one for someone else, so if you would like me to create one for you, please just drop me an email.

Have always loved crochet and knitting, but this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen - had to share it with anyone who visits my page :o) It was done by a lady in New Jersey and apparently it stayed for 2 years! I find myself imagining an entire forest looking like that...

The things I buy are mostly vintageness, including jewellery, antique letters and photos. Plus, I often get spontaneous needful thoughts and end up buying something hideously unnecessary in a frenzy before feeling silly in the morning. Oddly enough, though, it’s often those things which you forget you bought then get all giddy about when you re-discover it weeks later. I love that feeling!

Spring...

I primarily sell vintage jewellery... occasionally shabby chic stuff: some handcrafted, always vintage. Vintage stuff makes me smile for a few reasons, I suppose... sometimes it seems like the world was a nicer place to be before; like it's all gone wrong and ugly. Vintage jewellery and photos and trinkets can take you back to another era in a heartbeat, and it's wonderful. But, equally, things were made better before: more time and love and care went into stuff when it wasn't mass manufactured. I guess, vintage has more soul :o)

Peonies are my obsession. Most of my listings will have peonies in the photos, somewhere...

My loves are flowers (peonies, roses, daisies and honeysuckle are at the top of a very long list!), butterflies, beach huts, old flaking painted wood, pink and green, watermelon, willow trees, sparkly things, secret gardens, rainbows, crochet, lazy afternoons, cabbage roses, vintage-anything (particuarly the 20's, 30's and 40's. Beautiful *beautiful* decades. Minus them wars...), Spring (hence the look of my page), wool, strawberries, old black and white/sepia photos, fabrics, vanilla and Christ - not "religion", but faith and the beauty I've experienced through it. These things make my world go round.

Heaven will look like this...

And for the obligatory dull stuff: If you buy from me, I promise I will've described things as accurately as possible, but I generally offer a full refund if things go awry. I've only left negative feedback once and it felt horrible so now I'll do whatever it takes to make sure all transactions go charmingly.

Paypal is preferred lotsly because it’s so easy and both parties are protected, but postal orders are fine, too - I've stopped accepting cheques, though, am sorry. It’s good if payment is sent within 7 days or so, otherwise I worry, but if a buyer runs into some problems or realizes they need some more time, it’s so not a problem. Just an email to let me know, and it’s all good from there :o) I don’t make money off postage, and I tend to avoid sellers who do. I’m not sure why, really. S’just something about making money off postage feels a little dishonest, somehow.

I always leave feedback, and it’d be ace if everyone I buy from or sell to did, too. Partly because it rounds off the transaction, and partly cos it’s always very fun reading what someone has said :o)

I’m talking too much, aren’t I. Eep. Will bring this to a close, then. Except, just lastly, if you have a heart for people, regardless of your spiritual beliefs, please please go here and make a difference. It won't cost you more than a stamp - which I will happily reimburse you for if you email me, and it'll mean more than you can imagine. Thank you bunches and loads.

May you see butterflies by day, and glowbugs by night...
