POOKIEPOOKIECA - that's us! Us NEW !!! We've just opened a Shop on Etsy which will allow us to offer our OTHER items for sale. Where we are: I'll give you a general outline of who we are for background. I'm Pat (Reeve) and I make all the fish and animal beads.  Kim (Brown) is my husband and he makes all the beads. We've been married for around 20 years. We met at one of my sculpture shows and discovered that we both did similar sculpture - figural high-fire clay with a weird sense of humor. Then we found that we owned the same books. The rest is history.   I've always loved animals and started making, drawing and painting them as a kid.  Kim has always done his own thing - like getting told off for colouring his sheep green. You get the idea. I've always been good at combining and  blending colours - Kim does his own thing. From all this, we balance out quite well - IMHO. We influence each others' work and it keeps us going.   We both do a lot of photography.   We live in Comox, BC. Out the window we see ocean, mountains, eagles and LOTS of rain all winter.   Well that's the quick overview. Except to add that I've recently quit working in the real world and we now both devote our time to each other and our beads.  We've really only just begun to do this seriously.
