Thank you for visiting our auctions.
Who is coinauctioneer?
Professional_Coinauctioneer Inc. was founded in Nov 1977 and online Jan 1998.
Before that, our grandfather co-founder of our company was an avid collector since the 1940's
Do you have a website? Yes, our website address is: http://www.coinauctioneer.net We're currently upgrading our site and should have it back up and running by March 2008.
For those that want to learn more about our company, our shipping policies, and general chat about coins. We also have an online forum with no advertising that will be available soon.
Is there a guarantee on NGC or PCGS Coins? NGC has a written guarantee that coins graded by them are a certain grade.
You can view the NGC guarantee here: http://ngccoin.com/services/writtenguaranty.asp
It is important that you understand that this guarantee of grade of each coin sold is made by NGC or PCGS and NOT by by us or our company.
On occasion, we will have a customer that feels that a coin they purchased has been misgraded by the "grading company".
Please note that in a situation like this that professional_coinauctioneer, does not exchange out coins. Doing so would undermine the NGC or PCGS grading and quality control process.
There is a process in which we will send the coin back to NGC or PCGS on your behalf for what is called an "Appearance Review" in which the coin will be re-examined.
From this process, we rarely see any change in grades of a coin. Very few buyers fully understand the grading process.
There is a book available from Whitman Books on grading of NGC coins. If you would like to learn more about grading, I am sure you can find this book from a seller on ebay.
Some common misconceptions in grading are:
A coin that grades 69 can't have a small nick or blemish in it. To a trained eye, a coin that grades 69 you can almost always find one small visible blemish in the coin. In modern coins, that is the main difference we see between a 69 and 70.
A coin that grades 69 or 70 can't have toning on it. Toning is a natural process. Even inside an NGC holder, a coin still can continue to tone. Although the NGC holder does significantly reduce this chance.
It is important that before you send payment that you first click on the "Pay Now" button of the auction you won and complete check ebays check out procedure.
Thanks for your support and have a happy 2008!

Why do you charge extra for
multiple item shipping when postage
doesn't cost that much more?
Postage is not the only cost:
  packaging,     labor,
listing items,      labels,
  pulling orders,    postage,
And finally Gas! @ over $4 a gallon it does add up.
