I have over 60 years of sewing experience using the Singer Featherweight 221 and have made everything from maternity clothing to baby and children's clothing to home decor and wedding bridesmades dresses.

Not only is the Singer Featherweight 221 "cute" but it is a long term standby for all type projects.

I have worked with the Singer Featherweight 301 (Wow, what power) and the Singer 401 and 500 for very heavy work. However, my Singer 201-2 is such a pleasure to use due to the real power and wonderful sound when she purrs.

We bring our machines in, inspect them to determine exactly how they work. I make notes on things I "feel" needs to be looked at. Then we take them apart and clean everywhere then oil and lube where required.

If needed we replace things like the belt, the feet, the oil drip catcher pad.

After the complete cleaning and lube the machine is put back together and I personally test the machine again all the while "Roxie" watches every step of the way.

If for any reason we feel further attention should be given the machine, it is checked over by an authorized Singer Repair Service.

At time of listing, we will note everything that has been done to the machine, to include any items repaired or replaced by the Singer Repair Service.
