Named after one of our dogs, Sarah Grace, a doberman/shepherd mix who is 11 years old, our store features rare, hard-to-find and out-of-print classics for both children and adults. The store rapidly evolved from a decluttering exercise into an avocation that allows me to indulge my love of books and recycle at the same time.
Some of the descriptive labels I would use about me are "wife", "animal lover", "10-year cancer survivor", "Masters-level Counselor", and "packrat". I live with my computer-programmer husband in the foothills of the Adirondacks in upstate NY and enjoy riding on the back on a motorcycle, treasure-hunting, collecting 900 series Barbie fashions for my Fashion Queen Barbie, reading and collecting books, time at camp and on Lake Desolation, and the newest addition to my interests, Genealogy. I encourage folks to read books that will help them to understand the marvels of our democracy and to be proud of the American way of life. My basic philosophy about eBay is to recycle books at fair prices, actual shipping charges, and deliver them to new homes in recycled packaging. I like this role in encouraging people to read. I like to share with the Estherville Animal Shelter in Greenfield Center, NY, a not-for-profit no-kill shelter in my community, and selling on eBay makes this possible. It makes for a buzy and happy life!
