SCHMETZPETZ.NET Mitsy I think the beauty in Art is that an artist can create their own world. Whatever is important to them. Maybe Something of a Diversion from everyday life. With that being said. I paint a world depicting animals as if they were people. My wife and I have an animal sanctuary with animals that have been mostly rescued from bad situations. And it is through them that I began to realize how an animal can be scene as depicted in my work. Humor is also a characteristic in my work that is of great interest. Making someone forget about the stressfull world we leave in and just to have a smile. Although early in my painting career I learned to paint in a more academic sense mostly with still ives and interior spaces.I find now that I like to re-learn painting as a way of painting almost every time I paint a picture. Because of that I have developed a quirky individualized style, Maybe even an inconsistent style. To explain is not that easy for me. It's more of a sense of painting. While still maintaining a strong interest in representation I love what I am doing and have been making a living doing the type of work you see here for over 5 years now. MY lifes work for the last couple of years is up here on ebay. I strictly paint with Oils. Thanks for stopping by.
