Sellers would need to be aware of the situation and allow a longer delivery timeframe for their items.
To avoid buyer dissatisfaction and disputes, we recommend you to follow the best practices below:
Update your shipping & handling time from the listing page - For international listings items, update the “Shipping & handling time” in your listings; include 7-10 extra working days to allow any delays. You can edit the shipping and handling time in your listings using the Bulk Edit tool in My eBay, Turbo Lister and third party tools. You may have to contact the third party developers for the tools they developed.
Make it easy for buyers to track your shipments - When possible, use shipping carriers who provide tracking or confirmation of delivery numbers. We recommend you upload tracking or delivery confirmation information to My eBay whenever they are available.
Communicate with your buyer – Proactively contact your buyer and let the buyer know the item has been shipped. Also explain to the buyer that a delay maybe experienced due to shopping season.
Resolving transaction problems in our Resolution Center – The new resolution process will be launched in mid October 2009. Review the opened dispute cases in “Resolution Center”, contact the buyer and solve the problem.
