Barry Stuppler is a professional numismatist with over 40 years in the rare coin and bullion
community. As one of the nation's foremost rare coin experts, he currently serves as president of
the California Coin and Bullion Merchants Association. He has been a member of the Professional
Numismatist Guild since 1982. Barry co-founded and a current Board member of the Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA, represents the Coin & Bullion community in Washington DC). He was recently elected President of the American Numismatic Association. Barry is proud to be life member of the CSNA and FUN for over 30 years. In 1986, he was named California Coin Dealer of the Year by the California Coin & Precious Metal Association.
Additionally, Barry publishes two informative websites. Stuppler.com and
Goldnewstoday.com. Both websites provide updated news and timely articles for beginning and
experienced rare coin and precious metal owners.
Barry has excited thousands of people about coins by appearing on over 100 radio and TV shows as publisher of the Coin Connoisseur magazine. oins, Lies, & Videotape,Barry article on the dangers of buying coins on TV, won the 1999
Numismatic Literary Guild award for best coin article in a commercial magazine. In 2003 he was appointed to the California State Quarter Commission by
the state governor. Barry received PNG prestigious Abe Kosoff Founders Award
in 2004 for his work to protect the numismatic trade. In 2005 Barry was awarded
the James U. Blanchard III Lifetime Achievement Award from ICTA for dedication
and service to the numismatic profession and hobby.

Coin Connoisseur magazine was started in the
summer of 1997 as a quarterly magazine with the goal of educating and informing new and
experienced investors and collectors. The explosion of new media & internet publishing has
offered us a way to keep our content on the web in the form of an E-zine (Internet Magazine) ,
