Hey Now Folks! Thank you for dropping by and for checking out my auctions! If you've been wondering how one person could possibly have so much stuff... well, it's a long story. First, I inherited the "packrat" genes from my dad's side of the family. Add on top of that my addiction to handmade wearable art carried on from when I was a patchwork crafter vending at festivals & shows -and- my self-appropriated job as currator of neglected vintage goods (vinyl, housewares, clothing, accessories, etc.). Now let's also mix in my recent career change (public service to research).

From this eccentric history (a long, strange trip, if you will...)comes an ecclectic mix of auction items: hippie clothes, career clothes, jewelry, shoes, handbags, and housewares. My auctions not only aid in cleaning out my closets, but also help me pay bills while I'm looking for a new job. Should I have to relocate again (once I obtain another job), I'd like to carry less along for the ride. Thank you for helping me lighten my load while adopting a piece of my past (~):o)

My Auction Policies
Item Descriptions: All of my items come from a clean, smoke-free environment. I do have a cat, but he doesn't wear or lay on the items. I inspect each item thoroughly before listing it. Flaws, stains, holes, wear, etc. will be mentioned; occasionally something escapes my attention. I also include a measurements list in just about every auction. Since sizes vary, please check the sizing list prior to bidding to ensure an accurate fit. I am Not responsible for incorrect sizing, unless I have measured inaccurately.

Contact After the Auction: I will email winning bidders shortly after the auction closes -- within a few hours, in most cases. Winning bidders should respond within 4 days of the auction end; please send me your mailing address as well.

Payment: Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, Concealed Cash (at your own risk), or PayPal ensure shipment within 24 hours of payment (unless otherwise noted). Items paid for with personal checks will be held until payment clears (12-14 days). I found out the hard way that this length is necessary.

Delayed Payments: As a general rule, if you cannot pay for something now, please do not bid. I am sometimes willing to wait for payment, but only if I am kept informed throughout the delay. If you are the high bidder (at the current time) and are planning on being out of town when the auction ends, please let me know ahead of time. I would hate for someone to lose an item merely due to a miscommunication. If I feel that you are taking advantage of my kindness, I will relist the item and post negative feedback.

Shipping: Packages are mailed via the U.S. Postal Service. Whenever possible, I use the USPS Rate Calculator to determine a selection of rates. International shipping can be configured using the International Rate Calculator. My zip code is 28204-2373

Insurance: Insurance is available for an additional fee (based upon amount of insurance needed), and recommended if the item is valuable. I have only had to file one insurance claim so far. Insurance claims cannot be filed with the USPS until 30 days after the item was mailed. I must also have written notification (via snail mail) from you indicating you didn't receive your purchase. The USPS reimburses the buyer for the item cost ONLY. That is, the USPS does NOT reimburse shipping, insurance, and inconvenience charges.

Multiple Auction Wins: Multiple wins are combined to save shipping costs. If you are bidding on items ending on different days, I will wait until all of the auctions are complete to determine your final total.

Feedback: I post positive feedback as soon as I receive payment! After all, you've already lived up to your part of the bargain... why should you wait? Please do not bid if you don't intend to pay. Deadbeat and Non-Responsive bidders receive negative feedback. Communication will prevent you from getting a negative comment and losing your purchase, so keep me informed. I reserve the right to cancel bids by members with hidden or excessive negative feedback.

Non-Paying Bidder Reports: I file Non-Paying bidder reports, which are necessary for me to get a refund for the final auction value fee. I understand that messages get lost in cyberspace. If I haven't heard from you within 7 days after the auction, I will file a NPBR to let you know that I haven't received your confirmation.

Refunds: Refunds are issued in full only if I have greatly misrepresented the item. I am not responsible for items that do not fit; I include a sizing chart in each auction: please read it thoroughly! I am also not responsible for damage incurred during shipping. I will wrap your item securely. However, if you are concerned about your purchase, please insure it.

Negotiations & Trades: I may be willing to negotiate on auctions that ended without a bidder. I am always willing to consider a full or partial trade. Please review the specifics of my Trading Transactions below.

To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.

Trading Transactions
I **LOVE** trading! In most cases, trading is better than money any day of the week :o) You are free to propose a swap after the auction has ended, but please be prepared to pay your purchase price in case I decline your offer. I also am open to negotiation on any current or closed auctions (unsuccessful, i.e. those that ended w/o a bidder). Please E-mail Me if you are interested.
