Being a member of the SRA means for you, the buyer, that I have a reputation and quality standard to uphold. My beads are made by me in my home studio. They are thoroughly inspected for flaws or defects. I properly kiln-anneal them to reduce the possibility of breakage due to internal stress. The beads are thoroughly cleaned and ready for your use as soon as you receive them. Most importantly, all of this means my beads are not mass-produced and are of the highest quality I can achieve. What does naos mean anyway?

Naos is an ancient Greek term for the sanctuary of a temple or a place that shows a reverance or connection to the Divine. I often refer to my studio as my naos, my sanctuary, and I'm "at peace" while making beads...thus the name. Beads are also, in a way, their own "sanctuary" for me...little representations of beauty to be kept in special display cases for viewing and fondling (ha!), or worn with extra care and pride. Anyone who loves handmade lampwork beads knows what I'm talking about. :) We all understand the Golem of Tolkein fame... my precious...

About My Beads

I use Italian, German and American Boutique glass in my designs, paying careful attention to detail, structure and the annealing process (which reduces the internal stress of the glass so it can be around for a VERY long time). Custom orders are welcome. Just email me: buddha@tde.com
