So here I am.....My name is Rick, a 47 year old Happily married, father of 3, and grandfather of one. I like to tinker. I am a computer geek and a pretty good woodworker.

I enjoy selling and buyings thing I need from people around the world. This whole Ebay "thing" is quite interesting to me. I have been an active Ebayer for more than 2 years. Its always been a good place to start shopping whenever we need anything. You always seen to find just what you need at a pretty good price.

One day I broke off the plastic retainer clip from a 50' ethernet cable I bought on Ebay for my sons Xbox so he could connect to Xbox Live from our router. The cable did not stay in well and it started to fustrate me because I broke it.

So I decided to purchase a crimper and some replacement plugs and found out I could repair the cable myself. What I did not expect to find was the wire inside the patch cable jacket was very thin for Cat 5e cable. In fact, it was so thin you could bend the wires and they would not even stay bent cause the insulation on the outside of the wire was actually thicker than the wire. It seemed pretty "cheap" to me.

I said to myself..."I bet I could make a better patch cable".  I purchased some cable, boots, modular plugs, and some testing equipment, and before I knew it I was selling to friends and coworkers.

My recommendation is to just be an informed consumer. Dont just buy any cable because you won it for 2 cents. I have always lived by the moto "you get what you paid for".

I make Custom Made to Order cables on the side and sell to friends, family, coworkers and others locally strickly by word of mouth. Cables are made from Brand Name, Quality, Commercial Ethernet cable (not generic cable). Clear modular plugs that have Quality Gold plating for improved connectivity. Each cable also has a colored snagless boots to protect the retainer clip on the plug.

Right now I have Blue, Gray, Lt Gray, Yellow, Red and White Cat 5e cable. All cable is high quality brand name cable. I almost always try to use 350 mhz cable in lieu of standard 100 mhz Cat 5e cable. One note though, I am finding it impossible to keep stock of specific advertised manufactures. It is just too difficult to only buy on certain cable.So there will be times the manufacturers may vary, including some of my recent listings which does not list a specific cable manufacturer,but rest assured the color requested and the quality will be the same and just what your looking for.

Boots are generally available in your choice of colors for the White cables: Red, White, Grey, Yellow, Green, Black, and Blue. Custom mix or match to suit you needs. I usually have cables made up ahead of time to make my life easier, but please feel free to request any color combination. If you have a special quantity or cable length request, Please no not hesitate to ask.

I purchase all of my materials from sellers on Ebay. I feel this is sort of the "Circle of Life" concept. What comes from Ebay, goes back to Ebay, and we all as an Ebay community benefit.
