The Dream Merchants has grown out of Turtle Bay Trading Post, to bring good quality, top brand, vintage American clothing to British customers. Buy something from Oasis or River Island, that’s been made in China or Bangladesh (or wherever it’s cheapest this week), and you never imagine it lasting fifty years, yet much of our vintage stock is that old, and still in pristine condition. Literally As Good As New. Clothes, that were made to last, from an era when they announced, and celebrated, a woman’s femininity. When romance was still romantic, and when Ann Summers’ idea of “sexy” hadn’t taken shape. The Dream Merchants try to sell the dream, to anyone who believes you can still buy something, for about the same price as a few drinks, that has already lasted a lifetime. Something to enjoy and treasure, that could actually be handed on to a future generation. It’s not about speculative investment but we can’t help wondering that what we sell might be as cheap as it’s ever going to be. To Wagoner, Oklahoma When Sara met Martin:  They both loved instant coffee, and had a Christmas cactus each, growing on opposing sides of the kitchen sink.  He had the biggest, brightest smile in all the world, and the kindest heart there ever was.  They share a love of airports (Sara loves puddlies) and most other winged creatures. Sara was praying for a miracle the day she met Martin.  Though she lives in the land of Armadillos and Alligators, deep in the heart of now hurricane-Ike-stricken SE Texas and Martin resides in lovely (and far more tame) Shopshire, UK, these two are the best of the friends and they love each other so very much.  Now, that is a wonderful story if ever one was told!
