NorCal Sportscards
Hi, welcome to my "About Me" page!
Like most sportscard collectors, I had a ton of baseball cards as a youngster in the late 1960's and 1970's, which were tossed by my family in one of thier many moves after I had joined the United States Marine Corps and left my cards behind for safekeeping. Ahh, to have all those great Topps cards back in my hands now. Even though I played baseball competitively until my early twenties, I stopped collecting baseball cards up in high school, when girls and cars took the place of collecting.
It wasn't until my wife and I discovered that she was pregnant that I started collecting cards again. When we learned that we were to have a son, I thought that I'd start something for him to pass down when he was old enough, and collecting baseball cards seemed like a good thing to do, something we could do together.

Starting a collection was a slow process for me - I figured I'd do two complete sets a year for my son, but when the pulled a Bobby Doerr autograph jersey, things changed. Instead of building sets, I started a baseball Hall of Fame autograph and game used collection that I could give to him when he was old enough to understand and show interest. But what to do with all the singles, inserts and parallels that I couldn't use for my HOF collection?
eBay!!!
Now my wife is happy, as I don't have monster box upon monster box of cards in the closet, I can help other collectors out with cards they're seeking, and turn around and buy singles and new wax to build upon the HOF collection!
Things have grown rapidly - I opened up an eBay store, NorCal Sportscards, and have recently opened up a traditional online store, NorCal Sportscards Online to offer some of my higher end cards that I have duplicates of, or have recently upgraded.
If you've made it this far in reading, I congratulate you!
Good luck, and happy bidding!
