Mabuhay! I started saving the plates I used in Japan, Germany, and a few others. My initial goal was to collect the 50 U.S. states and a few U.S. territories back in 2001, and I achieved that goal on or about summer 2002.  

It wasn't until late 2006 when I experienced going to my first license plate meet at Bakel, Netherlands (hosted by De Nummerplaat, the Dutch plate collectors club). 

I was at Bad Camberg, Germany (hosted by the Germans' Autokennzeichen Sammler or AKS) and Wijnegem in the Antwerp, Belgium area (hosted by the Belgians' De Taksplaat) a few weeks later, and the rest is history -- I was hooked to collecting international plates. 

I joined ALPCA in 2005 and Europlate in 2007.
