Thank you so much for looking at my items. I am a self-taught artist that has been sewing, painting, and sculpting most of my life. I was raised in Pennsylvania and have spent half of my adult life in Florida. So I guess it is no wonder that I have combined bright, shiny things with grungy primitive folk art.
I was taught to sew at a young age and spent most of my time sewing clothes for my five children. In recent years I have practically abandoned my sewing machine for hand-sewing because hand-sewing is portable and I never seem to home anymore. My 11 year-old daughter has recently learned to sew and has been helping out with some of the doll bodies. All of my primitives have hand-sewing combined with machine. The majority of my items are commissioned and special ordered. I have just recently been ebaying my wares! Please do not hesitate to bid on my items, I will never list anything that I would not buy for my own home or give to a friend for a gift. I will always start my items at a low starting price with no reserve. I would rather let you decide what it is worth to you and come back and buy some more!
I make what I find fun and interesting, no two things are ever the same. I say I use my own patterns, but I pretty much start clean each time I make a new item. I love making chalk ware and paper mache items from vintage molds. I am inspired by everything vintage!
I work full-time and have four children at home who have their own busy lives in which we are heavily involved in, just ask them! We also have one son in the Army (3rd ID - Rock of the Marne!) and I appreciated all you kind words and prayers last year while he was in Iraq. He is now safe in the good ole' USA and is coming to the end of his tour of duty. We are crossing our fingers that August 31st comes quickly before they decide to stop-loss him again. God Bless all the people who serve our country so we may be safe and free from fear.

All items come from a smoke-free home, but we do have a dog and cat that occasionally graces us with their presence while we are working.
