Clothing, Accessories and More!
Hello, my name is Ershelle Williams . After a devistating job lay off in 1998 I was forced to allow the redirection of my life's path. While attempting to re-enter the job market I found that there was little demand for the skills I'd aquired through my many years of dedicated service to my former employer. Realizing a career change was necessary I enrolled in my local community college. The thought of this terrified me. I had not attended school in over 16 years.
With very little savings and two young children to care for it became a daily struggle to make ends meet, not to mention the containment of my sanity. In an effort to cut expenses I began to handmake and grow everything I could. Gone were the prepackaged store bought snacks my children had grown accustom to. Before long they were singing the praises of my homemade Chocolate Chunky Cookies and Fresh Potatoe Chips.
Just when I thought I'd made everything I could a friend received a basket of handmade soap as a gift. Seeing this I jumped at the challenge and was soon making soap for my families personal use. Before long this hobby became a means to suplement my families income.
From this experience I started my own business, "Simply Me" Handmade Herbal Bodycare which I am proud to say has a satisfied and loyal customer base. My products are made with pure essential oils and only the finest and freshest ingredients.
Through this process and several self-help books later, my soul was reawaken and my passion (as a child) to create was reborn!
In love with the art of creating I have designed a unique blend of handcrafted items and discovered a line of clothing which speaks to the essence of who I am.
These items include:
Jewelry made from Sterling Silver, Natural and Glass Beads, Prescious and Semi-Prescious Stones, Note Cards, Bookmarks, Magnets and Gift Bags with more to follow. All of which are sold in several stores in my local area.
Along with my business endeavors I teach jewelry design in an after school program at two local high schools and am in my second year of a Masters Program for Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis on Art Therapy.
Just when I thought all was lost I allowed myself to open up to and trust the process and have never looked back!
Peace and Blessings!
