My Shipping Terms
I love to combine shipping but you must wait for a combined invoice to get the lowest shipping cost. Contact me for a shipping quote on multiple items before you buy so that you know how much to expect to pay for shipping. To save you money I try to use Priority Mail flat rate boxes for large clothing purchases. I do NOT charge a set amount per additional item! My combined shipping is based on weight. I will never charge more than $1 over the actual shipping costs (unless it's an unsual item that I have to buy packaging for). I don't believe it's fair to overcharge on shipping. As a seller I take a risk listing my items at a low price. But if you win three things from me at 99 cents each I'm not going to try to compensate by overcharging on shipping! That recently happened to me as a buyer.
I do charge a small handling fee to cover my costs (printer ink, shipping label, tape, packaging, etc). I do not try to make money off of my shipping costs, I cannot lose money on them though! I ship most items in poly mailing envelopes that I can purchase in bulk along with shipping labels. If a box is needed then I usually get one from a department store (I try to get them when the store is stocking and take the empty boxes off their hands, it still costs me gas money and time to do this). Brand new shipping boxes range from 88 cents to $4 or more so it works out best for me to get a used box from a store.
Within the United States: I ship most items out within 24 hours of receiving payment! I print shipping labels from PayPal. I try to schedule carrier pickups when possible so that I don't even have to leave my house to mail packages or I drop them off at the Post Office in the automated postal center drop. All packages include delivery confirmation.
Outside the United States: I ship most international packages within three business days. I do charge an additional amount for handling these packages. That is because I have to go to the Post Office, fill out forms and wait in line to mail all international packages. I do not enjoy this and neither does my three year old, lol. I try to only mail international packages twice a week. I'm sorry for the delay but I just cannot go to the Post Office to mail one package.
A NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS/BUYERS: I am not responsible for an item once it has left my hands. Recently I had a dispute opened against me from an international buyer. It has been one month since I shipped the item and the buyer has not received it. They opened a dispute. I showed my proof that I did ship the item and the dispute was closed. I know that it is unfair for an international buyer to pay for something and not receive it but in this case I had the proof that I shipped the item. I HIGHLY suggest that you purchase insurance or whatever tracking is available. Once again, I am not responsible once I've handed a package over to the postal clerk!!!
Due to the fact that I sell a large amount of items per week/month I cannot personally contact each winner and notify about shipping information. When I print domestic postage from PayPal they send the buyer an email with the delivery confirmation number. If you do not get this email then you should check your spam folder, you can also view this information by going to "order details". Please do not get upset and mark me down on "communication" just because I did not personally notify you when I shipped an item. However, if you've purchased something from me and you have a question/concern about shipping please contact me!
A note about items that have free shipping... free shipping only applies to listings that say FREE SHIPPING. If you purchase an item that doesn't have free shipping you will have to pay for shipping even if you buy something else from me that has free shipping. See the example below:
Wholesale Lot: Free shipping
Jeans: $5 shipping
If the buyer wants to purchase both items and combine the payment the shipping cost would be $5 total. This is just an example. I have had buyers purchase something with free shipping that expected me to ship everything that they purchased for free. If it doesn't say that shipping is free in a listing then it's not and will not be free for that item even if combined with an item that has free shipping. Contact me for a shipping quote if you have multiple items and one or more of them has free shipping.

January 23, 2009 UPDATE: Today I received a negative feedback. The buyer purchased a sweatshirt from me on December 12, 2008. I shipped it to him in Turkey on December 17, 2008. I have the receipt and the customs information that prove the item was accepted at my Post Office. It has been a little over one month since the item was shipped. The buyer opened a dispute in PayPal and it was closed because I have proof that it was shipped! Once I dropped that package off at the Post Office I was not responsible for it. I had no control over it. It's sad that the buyer didn't get it. I'd be mad if I didn't get something that I paid for. But in this case it was clear that I am not the person to be mad at. I do not believe that I deserve a negative. I shipped the item and kept the proof. I keep records! For this reason I am considering to stop offering shipping to international buyers. I do have several repeat customers in Canada so I will still offer shipping to Canada!
