Unfortunately, there is no uniform sizing system for women. Each manufacturer has a different standard for their sizes. The best way to get a great fit is to know your measurements. The only way to ensure perfect fit when you can't try it on is to know your measurements. So grab a tape measure and a buddy and take those measurements: What you'll need - A cloth tape measure and a full length mirror. Take measurements undressed or in lightweight clothes. You may want to wear a bra that you would wear with the garment. Pull the tape measure snug, but not too tight. Keep your arms at your side and have a friend take the measurements, for the best results. And don't slouch! Stand up nice and tall. Bust Wrap tape measure under your arms, over your shoulder blades, and across the fullest part of your bust. Waist To find your waistline, bend to one side. The place where your waist creases is your actual waistline. Measure at this point and keep the tape comfortable around your waist. Hip Measure the fullest part of the hip (usually about 7-9 inches below the waist - keep feet together)   The measurements I list are flat measurements, so you would need to double them and compare them with your actual measurements. The measurements listed for fabric stretch are typically not at the maximum amount of stretch. Also note that the chest measurement I list is the measurement from the bottom of the underarm from side to side, waist is the approximate natural waisline location and length is from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the shirt. You may also measure a garment you already have and compare those measurements with the measurements provided. Don't forget to allow room for the type of fit you prefer.  Remember, you can't always go by the size that is on the tag. Love & Embrace your body, no matter what size you are! For those of us that aren't super models... Love Thy Self , Thy Thighs, Thy Butt and Thy Boobs!   Some basic style rules that apply to all body shapes Follow these general tips to achieve a more flattering look: Choose clothes shaped basically the way you are. Don't add bulk. Don't squeeze. Work with your body not against it. Keep It Simple  * Forget fussy. Stress sleek, simple shapes. They're slimming...and sophisticated, too!  * Emphasize vertical lines, which lengthen and slenderize. Try long, flowing styles such as dusters and longer jackets.  * Don't drown in fabric. Too-big clothes can look as unflattering as too-small. Work with Your Body  *Opt for fluid fabrics that drape smoothly without clinging closely. Flattering choices include crepes, soft   cottons, matte jerseys, fine-gauge knits, moleskin suedes, georgettes, microfibers, and polyester/spandex blends.  *Try monochromatic looks--one color from collar to hem--to lengthen and slim your figure. For an even slimmer effect, wear tights or hosiery in the same color. Finishing touch? Color-matched shoes!  *Avoid wearing tops and bottoms of exactly equal lengths. You'll "cut" your body in half and end up with a boxy look.  *Try long-over-short for a smashing look, especially if you're average height or taller. A tunic-length top or jacket looks terrific with a knee-length skirt.  *Don't forget short-over-long. Try a Curve Enhancer Top with jeans. Or a sweater twin-set over a longer skirt.  *Choose necklines that flatter your face and visibly lengthen your neck: v-necks, u-necks, scoop necks, surplice styles, Marilyn collars, ballet necklines, collarless looks, etc.  *Accessorize!
