I've been a member of the eBay community since 2001. The most exciting thing about buying and selling on eBay is the many opportunities I've had to connect with folks from around the world. Thanks to programs like Gizmo, I can easily speak with customers who live in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Germany, Spain, Italy, France...the list could go on and on. Whenever someone purchases one of my items, I say to myself, "I just got another miracle today!". It truly is miraculous that I can sell to folks anywhere in the world. What a wonderful marketplace the internet has provided. As a native of San Francisco, I feel blessed to still be living in the Bay Area. Because times are so difficult right now for so many folks, being able to buy and sell items on the internet can be a life-saver. My experience in buying and selling on eBay has taught me many things. I always try to put myself in the "shoes of the customer". If anything out of the ordinary should occur, I ask myself, "What would I want to happen here if I were the Buyer?" I have also learned that flexibility can make all the difference in the world. And when dealing with folks, I always remember that how I conduct myself is of utmost importance as what I do is a reflection of who we are as Americans so I always try to put my best foot forward. I suppose anything can be a good learning experience if one chooses to look at it that way. I certainly do and it has made my experience on eBay all the more rewarding.
