WELCOME to 2006!!! Never realized RETIREMENT was such hard work! Currently, 65 years young - and several years
ago started working with a computer
Sure, several decades earlier I had
learned typing in high school. But that was before the computer age.
And quite seriously, computers scared me to death. I was sure I would hit
a wrong key and "kill the machine." And computers aren't cheap and the
last thing I needed was a funeral for such an investment.
I started on eBay hoping to just add a
little income each month. I had a lot of "stuff" over all these years to
get rid of; and it was no struggle listing things for sale. I was always
amazed at what they sold for. And then a friend asked me to sell something
for her - and we just couldn't believe at times when the auction ended and the
final price came up. It was so exciting and FUN to sell other people's
"stuff." A lot of people have a lot of stuff hanging around and don't have
the time or energy to have a yard sale, or they don't have a computer, or the
internet, or both. Lots and lots of people out there like that.
I am located in the Heart of Amish Country
here in Lancaster County, amidst covered bridges and horse and buggies
Born, raised, and most likely will die
here! Seems like that's rare these days since we live in a world of
transit. But I like being old fashioned and Lancaster County is just HOME
SWEET HOME. I love everything about it.
It has taken me quite a while to get this page
organized and I hope you find it interesting. I am anticipating the
future with a lot of enthusiasm and plan to learn a lot from all the items I
sell. The people I have met through emails has been most enlightening.
It is truly inspiring to know someone at the end of the ".com" cares about
sharing their knowledge. My deepest thanks and gratitude to the people who have taken the time to teach me and share their knowledge. May God bless you. I am blessed to have a son who is willing to take
the time and energy (and let me tell you, it took a lot) to teach his mom how to
use this computer. And now he has me selling pool cues for him, too.
