A History of Creative Alternatives:
In August of 1985; The Lady Grey Company; hereby known as TLG was established in Pennsylvania as a government small business contractor & developer. I had a knack for finding people who needed small jobs done & people who had hobbies that fit the need. I created a simple data base of folk, testing the hobbiests with projects of my own & then guaranteeing the quality of their work to the customers. At the end of each job by agreement; the contractor added a 10% commission to the total amount of the bill. TLG helped people start their own home businesses by guiding them through the steps needed to legitimize the hobbies.
We became a conduit between the SBA, SCORE & real customers. In 1986 TLG became affiliated with Mystery Shopping/ Restaurant critique organizations. In our next 20 years of service; we helped over 10,245 people to start & maintain their own home businesses. In TLG's own Ongoing Expansion Process in 1991, TLG generated: LLD, UnLimited which became our Advertising division. A MAC Multi-Media Advertising Shop; LLD UnLimited specialized in Business/Calling Cards & Newspaper & Magazine Pre-press.
The Lady Grey Company's Website & LLD,UnLimited: its publisher officially became a part of the World Wide Web in early 1996 & helped develop some of the most widespread applications such as search engines, yellow pages & "shopping malls" on the web.
The Herbal Cupboard
was an adjunct section of The Lady Grey Product & Idea Showcase. I started THC in 1990 as a bricks/mortar emporium. That's when I realized that there were a lot of herbal products out on the market that contained fillers, dyes or preservatives. I found three companies who were devoted to offering either truely vegetarian; organic &/or reasonably pure products. The PaperLess Catalog grew out of my efforts to promote these products without hurting more trees. Through bin shipping & other innovative methods I have a way to quickly turn around both retail & wholesale orders for a variety of healthful products.
Being a Legal Beagle is important to me so the companies & names are all licensed, registered & the domain names are registered for another 5 years each. Since 1996 TLG, LLD,UnLimited & THC are now based & licensed in Central Florida. THC became an online entity of its own in 2000. TLG/LLD,UnLimited has a D&B # {on request} & we are an SBA ProNet registered Government Contractor along with other fine agencies.
To expand my thesis for Herbal Medicine; I decided to put more of my studies online. It resulted in an ongoing project called: The Formulary of WorldHerbswhich is a FREE interactive herbal compendium located at: http://www.theherbalcupboard.com/formulary.htm
I continue to broaden my own expertise in this area with my studies towards licensing as a Naturopathic Doctor; specializing in herbal supplements.

I've been expanding the idea that good health is tied to expanding one's experiences, via the mind, the senses & the intellect. I like to think that I can offer ideas as well as tangible objects to keep people healthy. "IL Cuore Del Mele" Somehow the gods/goddesses were looking my way one day in April 2001... I paid a traffic ticket; got lost looking for some land & found my tiny gem of an herbal farm. The VA loan came amazingly fast. I found the house on April 6th & I moved in by May 12th. To commemorate the new farm; I fledged the commercial wholesale/retail entity: TheHerbalCupboard.com.
Affiliations & Success Stories:
In 1995 I had the grand good luck to fall in with a bunch of ex-military & federal employees working for the Daytona International Speedway & became "one-o-the-lot" of middle management gate supervisors, sometime ticket sellers & general dogsbodies for the intermittant but busy! track schedule. Its my pride & joy to know that I've trained a great deal of the current management on those very gates. In 1998 we started & maintain affiliate marketing contracts with Sabre's Travelocity, American Express Financial Services & Amazon.com In 1999 we developed: speedbydesign & deathwishracing.com for a short track racer. In 2000 TLG helped start VitaStarSolutions/Telecom Service Solutions a sucessful electronics VAR. All in all, my abiding interest throughout has been to help people to maintain & improve their health in a more natural way, & I've developed recipes & formulaes over the years which are located on the herbalcupboard website for free.
2003-2005.
A LOT happened to me in 2003 that took a toll on my business & personal life. I was struck by an automobile as a pedestrian & basically broke 152 bones in my body including my neck, back, left shoulder, leg {in 5 places}, numerous amalgam fillings, teeth et al. I woke up to identity theft, the loss of thousands of dollars of savings, almost complete paraplegia & no insurance other than {thank the goddess for} AFLAC & the personal injury section of my auto insurance, thanks to a badly managed newspaper that I had worked for. I spent two months as a paraplegic & 8 months altogether with the help of the VA medical/ rehab centers in Winter Park; learning to be able to function on my own again. I've persevered over the course of the past two years & saved my farm, my businesses & my life. I was also lucky enough to have a group of friends that believed that I could do anything.
Yet Sometimes the good folk LOSE.
In April 2005 I was bitten {twice!} by a Brown Recluse Spider & picked up a dose of flesh eating bacteria. I spent 3 weeks until in the hospital & then spent yet another 4 weeks on in house nursing care visits on antibiotics & pain killers. Be very careful if you store clothing or have any place in your Florida home that isn't visited often. Spray with foggers that kill spiders in May through July to be sure. I wouldn't wish this kind of infection on ANYONE. I'm currently able to walk & still have swelling a 6x8 inch hole on my left shin from the experience. Its now May 2007 & I am headed for the MAYO Clinic in Jacksonville to finally heal the infection & get some skin grafting.
Onward, Upward & Beyond...
Since the beginning of 2005 the SBA has recognized The Lady Grey Company as a 20 year old small business both on & offline. We are now located at the West Volusia Historical Society's gift shop & travelling gift shop locations & a portion of our proceeds goes towards maintaining & restoring period buildings in Volusia County, Florida, as well as a portion going to my FAVORITE charity of The Arbor Day Foundation for the preservation, conservation & planting of TREES. I've achieved my Teal star & I'm thrilled. Please help me keep the good deeds moving forward. Good feedback is always appreciated.
