Adroni Woodworking is a small company that was established in 1996 as a custom furniture and cabinet shop. We still thrive in that area doing contract work for a local manufacturer. At one point during that time we designed and built a router table to keep everything for that operation handy in one cabinet. The RS series of tables are the fine tuned version of that table. Though we have built and sold hundreds of our tables they are not mass produced, they’re hand built, one at a time.
The RS-500 Router Table
3/4" side panels on our tables are not made from ordinary plywood. They are solid wood, edge glued together with Oak veneers on both sides. This makes for a very strong stable material that is normally used only in fine quality furniture. All trimmed in Oak. We use Oak because it has been the choice wood of American woodworkers for centuries due to its beauty and strength.
Joints are made with either dado or rabbet for insured durability.
The top construction starts with 3/4” MDF core Melamine. Unlike the common wood top that could warp over time, our tops have Two steel reinforcement struts that run the full width of the top to insure its flat and stays that way for years of service. The edges are thickened to 1-1/2” to securely mount the steel struts plus the extra heft for fixture clamping. Directly under the router opening there are two more 3/4” wide steel bars to support even the largest routers and lifts without worry. What you end up with is a top that is 1-1/2” thick in all the stressed areas, 3/4” MDF and 3/4” Steel !
The T-Slot milled in the fence accepts 5/16 T- bolts for mounting feather boards, stop blocks, hold downs and guards. This type of slot works very well because all the pressure that is applied to the fixtures during use is upward pressure which pushes the T bolt to the top of the slot where there is 1" of wood to hold it solidly in place. This is the type of slots we use on ALL of the tools in our shop and have for years with no problems.
Most people think that a T- Bolt is an expensive specialty item only obtainable through woodworking stores, NOT TRUE, they are available at any hardware store, lumberyard or home center, just ask for "Toilet Flange Bolts" about .30 cents each.
An optional Aluminum T-Track that "YOU" install in the fence, is available for purchase. Complete with detailed milling and instalation instructions.
RS-200 Benchtop Router Table
The RS-200 Benchtop Router Table has all the features and functions of a full sized table in a compact, portable design.
The top and fence are the same as the one used on the RS-500 Router Table described above.
Shipping
Shipping cost is a major concern in purchasing any product and we keep ours as low as possible while trying to get your investment to you in good condition. Our shipping rates include FedEx charges plus the cost of the carton, styrofoam packing, banding and plywood reinforcment necessary to insure your table arrives in good condition. The shipping weight of the RS-500 table is approximatly 120 pounds, The RS-200 is approximatly 85 pounds.
We use FedEx ground and have been very pleased with the service they have provided in getting the tables safely delivered.
